Kingsley's P.O.V
A year later...
Maybe I am prolonging it. Ruby desperately wants to get married but I can't do it. I'm too scared. I know, how can a man like me be scared?
"And you HAVE to tell her before you guys actually get married. We will cancel it otherwise."
I can't do it! I want to. I've had the chance but I can't. She'll leave me. I know she will. And I won't be able to deal with that.
I've been prolonging the wedding so I wouldn't have to, but come to think of it, I'm gonna have to do it sooner or later. I choose later.
But anyway, I'm sure she doesn't mind. We're still together anyway. It's alright.
So, I'm taking my baby out today. Just to do a bit of shopping and looking around. She hates spending my money but if she don't, who will?
The only problem is that the place I wanna go is hella crowded so I'm gonna need to keep Ruby by my side 24/7. You can't trust the men out there.
"Hurry up." I said laying on the bed as Ruby got dressed.
"Don't tell me to fucking hurry up. Get your black ass off the bed and help me." She kissed her teeth.
Damn, I upset her. Let me just keep quiet and help her. I got up and did so.
"Ready now?" I asked.
"No. Put on my shoes for me." She sat on the bed and lifted her legs up.
I know damn well she can do that herself. But me being a gentleman, I'm gonna have to do it for her. I got her shoes and put them on for her. When I finished she jumped up.
"Okay, now I'm finished. How do I look?"
"Beautiful as always." I kissed her softly then walked out the room and started walking downstairs.
"Oh shush." She just blushed.
Being serious. We made our way out to my car. I helped Ruby in then got to my side and started driving.
"Music?" I asked.
The sun is out, windows are down. Just need music to finish it off. The journey is gonna take quite a while. Ruby nodded and I turned the music on. As soon as the song started Ruby and I started singing.
Yeah, you say you're all this, and all that
But you ain't all that
Said she take it from the back, man, that was all chat
Yeah, she ain't on that
My nigga, how you mean?
Nah, they ain't on nuttin', nah, they ain't on nuttin'
My nigga, how you mean?
Nah, they ain't on nuttin', nah, they ain't on nuttin'Ruby suddenly stopped singing. I continued on my own. I guess we're taking turns.
You see tonight, I'm on a one-night stand,
Big anaconda in my pants
I know her and I know she got a man
Man a take a man's gyal and bang, bang, bang
Oh shit, niggas ain't really on nuttin'
When they see me, man, they don't say nuttin'
Hella vex, no talk, no discussion
Back it out, clap it out, make him start body poppin'Ruby suddenly took over. She was proper bopping to the music. She's such a gangster, oh my.
Who's real? Man's real
'05, man was out in the field
Grown up now, I pay my mum's bills
You fake trap stars don't give your mum a penny, man, chill chill chill
Talking 'bout you runs this strip
Like this lighty didn't fuck his bitch
Met her in July, flew her out in August
She gonna tell you that she loved this shit
