What... WAS this?
Lambert, Despite the many crusades done in the name of The One Who Waits, stopped in their tracks at a sight never-seen.
A large door.
Locked, Five symbols were put on display, each one simply reading the letter "P", with one of them glowing Green.
"Leshy?" Lambert thought, recalling the first Bishop he had slain. The glowing green of the letter matching the fur that had coated the recent victim.
The dots were being put together.
The Door would remain locked until the others had fallen. But then there's that fifth one...
Not thinking much of it other than that. The little Lamb would turn back, the Red Crown occasionally looking back at the door with interest. It seems they haven't seen it before, either.
...
Days, turned into weeks, into months.
At long last, the bishops were slain. The One Who Waits followed, though it was not by choice. The only one left to pray for now was none other than Lambert, who remains in power even after slaying their own god.
The crusades never stopped. And one trip back into Darkwoods later, they'd encounter that door again.
Wait. The door.
He had completely forgotten about it! And alas, all the symbols were glowing different colors!
Green. Red. Blue. Purple. With the center just being an entirely darker shade of red.
Lambert stood there, staring. Having entirely forgotten about this encounter. With The Red Crown temporarily hopping off their head, they'd float over to the door, gently nudging...
Like a trigger, the earth began to rumble, Lambert struggling to keep balance before the crown floated back to their head. The door in front began opening! With the Symbols now beginning to turn a bright yellow, a loud click was heard before the slow, ominous opening of the large doors.
Cautious, Lambert began making the few steps in once the chaos subsided. Hopping down a large elevator shaft, if anything went wrong he could always just respawn, right?
