ILLIANA

"That's so fucked that anyone would do something like that. I knew this place was fucked up but I didn't expect it to be that fucked up." Raelyn said as she was seated next to me in class. "Have you seen Olivia?" I asked and she sighed looking away. "They identified the body earlier today.. it was Liam." She said, slowly placing her head in her hands.

My eyes widened in fear, my hands trembled at her words. Did this happen because of me? Liam's death is on my hands even if I wasn't the one who killed him. "Illiana Halsin, can you come to the Chancellor's office, please?" An announcement was made over the speakers. Everyone looked in my direction, muttering and whispering about me.

I packed up my things quickly and made my way out of the class, heading to the main building. It seemed as though everywhere I went, all eyes were on me, waiting to see if I would do anything.

As I made it to the main building, I stopped at the door, staring at it. This was the same place I saw Bjorn kill that girl. Do I really want to walk in here again?

I swallowed the lump in my throat and pushed the doors open, making my way inside. I travelled up 4 flights of stairs. To the second floor where the office was located.
Standing outside the Chancellor's door, was a police officer who looked in my direction and he didn't seem too happy at my presence, but he never said a word. He just stood there.

I knocked on the office door, waiting to hear something. Instead, the door was opened by Mrs. Tepes who only smiled and told me to come in.

As I walked into the office, I noticed Silas and Aiden sitting at the side and a man sitting at the far centre of the room, staring directly at me. If looking at someone could kill, I'd be dead.

"You must be Illiana. I've been hearing so much about you. Not only from the students and these two reckless boys but my wife also." He looks over at Mrs. Tepes. So this man was Silas's father.

He had pitch-black straight hair, slicked back into a ponytail,  and his grey-blue eyes just like Silas's pierced through my soul with a jawline that could cut me if it wanted to. I could see where Silas got his looks from.

"Yes, I am Illiana Halsin" I responded. "Halsin..?" He repeated and I nodded. He glanced over at Silas and Aiden who remained silent, avoiding eye contact with the man.

"You must be related to Jason then?" He asked. "Yes..he is my brother."

"Right. So, Miss Illiana, the reason I've brought you here was regarding the body you found in your room last night and the message that was left out for you, which isn't a good sign." He started. "A boy was killed-"

"He was a friend and his name was Liam." I cut in. Silence filled the room, and Mr. Tepes didn't seem pleased with me interrupting him, but I didn't care. "We must remove you from the campus grounds." He said in a stern voice. "What?!" Silas exclaimed, standing up.

"You can't do that to her. She didn't do this!" Aiden said. "Aiden, I can do that. Illiana being here just means her life is at risk. Did you forget what I mentioned? She is a target and to whom? We have yet to know." Mr. Tepes said.

"It's easy. Look at the fucking Bane Society. They've been getting away with too much shit and you're afraid to do anything about it!" Silas exclaimed, slamming his hand onto his father's desk. "Watch your tone with me, boy." Mr. Tepes threatened.
