AIDEN

I watched quietly as Illiana paced back and forth in my room, worried about Silas. I'm shocked, to say the least, that she worries for him. It reminded me so much of Rose when Silas would be gone for days she couldn't sleep.

"He'll be back Illiana.." I said to her. She stopped, looking over at me. "How long do they keep him there for? How often do they send him to rehab?" She asked. "Usually he's gone for weeks. It's only been a day since you called your father."

"Does he come back alright?" She asked. I looked away from her gaze, unsure of how to answer her question. "Aiden!" She stomped her foot once and I looked at her. "They usually keep him drugged for his entire stay, so whenever he returns he's not fully himself for a while but he eventually returns to the same him..just worse," I explained.

"Why do they send him there? I mean I know he's fucked in the head but rehab?" She sighed. "He's a troubled guy..so they think sending him there would fix him, but it only makes him ten times worse. He comes out with even more rage than he had going in. I was taken there once by my uncle. They do horrible things to a person in there. Fuck, even I don't want to go back." I muttered.

"Horrible things like what?" She asked, taking a few steps forward. "They-"

Her phone began to ring and she immediately picked up. "papa?" She started pacing once again. "You have him?! Yes yes! I'll come meet you." She quickly hung up and glanced at me. "Let's go.."

I stood up and followed her out of the room quickly to get to the garage where Silas's jeep was parked. We got inside and I started it up, quickly driving out of campus with Illiana, heading to town.

"I'm surprisingly afraid to ask what connections your father has for him to get Silas out of that place," I said, looking over to her. "Think of it this way... If my papa wanted to buy a big business or large property, he could do it without a care in the world. He could buy Death Road University if he wanted to, but he despises that too much." She chuckled at the thought. The first smile I'd seen from her since what happened.

"Ah, so you're rich rich," I said. "I'm not, but my papa is."

I looked at her for a split second before turning my attention back to the road and seeing the town up ahead. "Thank you, for doing this." I placed my hand on her thigh, giving her a gentle squeeze. She placed her hand on mine and pointed to the mall. "he'll be in the parking lot at the mall. Just look for a black van. To be honest it should be the only van in the parking lot since the mall is closed this late at night." She said.

I pulled into the mall parking lot, driving towards the black van that was parked, surrounded by 3 other black cars. 3 men were standing outside the van holding assault rifles in the grips, except for the man in the middle who didn't have a black trench coat or gun in sight. Once I stopped the jeep, Illiana immediately stepped out, running towards them.

I quickly got out following her closely. "Papa.." She hugged the man in the middle tightly. Holy shit he was tall and handsome. I don't think I've ever seen someone as tall as him.

He hugged her back, lifting her from the ground for a brief moment before placing her back down. "look at you, you've grown an inch." He chuckled, "You know I've done my growing. I'm stuck at this height forever." She smiled.

"Where is Silas?" I asked, cutting their moment short. Her father looked up at me with a raised brow. "You must be Aiden." He started. "What of it?" I asked. He walked towards me, towering over me. "Impatient." He reached behind me, pulling the gun from where I kept it in my belt.
