The following day, Tyler walked down the school hallway, making his way through the crowds of people. He sneaked around kissing couples and infamous "nerds".
As he was rushing to his English class, Ty accidentally bumped into another student, sending their books and notes scattering down on the dirty school floor.
"Oh... I'm so sorry..." Tyler muttered, bending down to help picking all the items. He gathered a few papers and handing them to the person he accidentally had collided into, realising it was the guy from the record shop.
"... I'm so very sorry..." he muttered all over and over again, trying to pick up all the papers from the ground.
"D-don't worry, man, it's fine" Josh chuckled shortly, accepting the last stack of papers from Tyler.
"No, no, seriously... I'm... I'm sorry, Josh..." Tyler repeated again as they slowly straightened up.
"It's all good, alright?" A reassuring smile flashed quickly on Josh's face.
Tyler nodded, and the two walked to the classroom together in silence. Josh took his usual seat in front row while Tyler settled in the back with a few other guys from the basketball team. One of them shot Tyler a dirty look and sneered, "What were you doing with that loser?" pointing at Josh.
"I..." Tyler began, but the bell cut him off, ending the conversation.

As the bell rang again, signalling teachers and students that the class was over, everyone started packing their belongings and slowly leaving.
Mike, one of Tyler's basketball teammates walked up to Josh and smacked all of his books and notes onto the ground, stepping on them on his way from the class.
Tyler glanced around, waiting until his friends had gone, before he rushed to Josh, again helping him with picking his stuff up.
"Here" Ty handed Josh a messy pile of dirty notes.
"Thanks," he replied, very surprised by Tyler helping him once more "I'm fine, you don't have to do this"
Ty didn't respond, his gaze glued to the ground, weiged down by guilt.
"I'm sorry for them... they're not always like... like that" he muttered quietly.
Josh just simply nodded, silently gathering all his stuff. Tyler stood there, not knowing what to do. After a couple of awkward moments, he quickly left the class, leaving Josh alone.
As he was walking down the hallway to the cafeteria, Tyler realised he was blushing.
