well a few months passed and things have been going good. for one, suffyan has stopped annoying me and me and adam have got closer. not closer as in relationship wise but closer as in he taught me the basics of islam as i have been curious about the peace saraah was talking about.
today i was going to visit the mosque to go to a halaqa? sometimes like that it's supposed to be a lecture so i have to dress modest today.
i put on a cute kind of modest fit and go downstairs
(outfit insp)
as i'm leaving the house to walk to school i hear remarks from my step mom."fat ass"
"that's right cover and keep wearing sweatpants because if not everyone will be burdened by your elephant ass"
"that shirt is too tight you pig"
"your hair is so rough almost like cotton"
"come home by 5pm or you know what's going to happen to you"i don't let it get to me, it's something i'm used to
my father used to insult me like that when i used to reach out to him.
good thing they found eachother, they're meant to be
at school
"AALYYY" i hear a scream
"POOKSS" i yell back
me and sarah hug eachother and then walk to the cafeteria. we have a conversation about the halaqa we are attending later.
but curiosity hits me
"would i need to wear a hijab to the halaqa to be respectful?" i blurt out
saraah thinks about this for a minute before answering
"you don't have to wear it if you don't want to, just wear what makes you comfortable girll" saraah reassures me
"but if you want to borrow my hijabs and abayas your welcome too, i've always wanted a sister to share things with" she squeels
i think about the conversation the whole day and soon enough the school day was over
as i was walking home i receive a text from saraah it was now 2:30 the halaqa was at 4.
incoming call from saraahpooks
i quickly answer and am met with saraah rambling around about her home room teacher
she interrupts herself by asking where i am"where are you"
she asks"i'm on my way home girly don't worry il be at the mosque at 4."
"are you walking" she asks blankly
i'm almost scared
"yeaa but i'm almost home trust" i reassure her
but she doesn't sound reassured
