Y/n L/n woke with a start. The rumbling of the subway he rode shook him awake and almost made him fall from his seat. The young man rubbed his eyes with a yawn before he looked up to a sign in the subway car. An L.E.D. one that displayed the next stop on the train. It took Y/n a moment to read it, its words like all others on the train were in Korean. A mostly foreign language to the boy from America who had come to the country in search of work.
He knew the language well enough though, able to discern that the next stop on the train wasn't his. Y/n sighed as he slumped back into his seat.
How long had it been since he came here? A month or two? While Y/n had been able to find a job it was far below his pay grade. A fallback due to his lack of skill in the native language. He let out a sigh, wondering why he had even come in the first place.
Y/n took out his phone. A newer model he had managed to buy with the money he had saved up when his last phone had broken. Looking through his apps, trying to find a way to kill the time Y/n was reminded of a book he was told about by his coworker. Opening up his browser he typed in the name.

Or TWSA for short as his coworker had told him. Y/n was taken to a web novel website where the book was available. 149 episodes total... With only 2 reads by the 50th episode... After that, only 1 person read every episode after. It was probably his coworker Y/n thought.
Y/n clicked on episode 169. It had been a mistake, but after a moment he decided to read the chapter anyway. If the final chapter of a story could get him hooked when he knew nothing about then it would surely be worth reading, right?
The chapter was long and not much made sense but Y/n certainly found it intriguing to be sure. Intriguing and badly written. But intriguing nonetheless. Y/n scrolled back to the first chapter. Clicking on its icon Y/n quickly began to read the chapter and was properly introduced to the novel's main character.

It wasn't long after Y/n reached the end of the chapter though that the train came to a sudden halt. Passengers were knocked off balance and the lights in the compartment powered off. There was panic as the people in the subway car wondered what could have happened.
There was shouting and murmurs as everyone in the train car continued to panic though it wasn't long before the subway intercom system suddenly turned on.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE."
"P-PLEASE EVACUATE... EVACUATE..!"
The passengers cried out in confusion. "What's going on?!" It continued like that for a moment before a bright light appeared at the front of the subway car.
"THE FREE SERVICE OF THE 8612th PLANETARY SYSTEM HAS COME TO AN END."
"THE MAIN SCENARIO WILL BEGIN NOW."
As Y/n looked to the front of the car he was reminded of the story he just read. Some of the first few lines from the novel he just read.
