Alex was always a very reserved child, never really raised his voice to anyone, never made trouble, and always tried his best to stay in the background. he believed that it would be best for everyone if he dimmed his own light so that they could shine. this all changed one day. When he met a group of boys, he could truly call his friends.
It was a warm spring morning birds sang from roof tops, a sweet sent was carried on a calm breeze, and Alex was on his daily run. He always tries to stay healthy, and it helps he can always visit his favorite place in the whole wide world. "Kings Kard Shop". a game store known for selling yugioh cards. He walked in like usual greeting the store owner, a small elderly Asian man who always wore a kind smile. he bought his cards and moved on to a park nearby where would upgrade his decks with his new cards. but this is when things began to change.
He ran to the same park bench, the same old worn-out dirt road as calm as a grave, but before he could sit down, he was jolted back to reality by a group of highschoolers his ager yelling about something. Driven by curiosity Alex began looking for its source and found a group of 3 boys sitting at a table all wide smiles on their faces. he was about to leave them to their own devices when he heard a very strange sound escape their lips. a sound he'd never heard from those his own age...
???: "DAMN IT! BLUE EYES IS WAY TOO STRONG!!!"
Jolting around to see if he was mistaken, he sneaks closer his hand slowly reaching for his deck box out of both excitement and shock.
Had he done it? Had he finally found people who love the game just as much as him? he needed to be sure. As he snuck closer his eyes glued to the table, he was shocked to discover a field full of blue eyes monsters and a lone face down monster belonging to the pair of boys playing. The 3rd boy who was growing board just spectating glanced up to see a skinny back haired boy with wide happy eyes spectating from across the park.
???: "What's up man? you wanna watch?"
Taken aback by the boys' request he nods his head and sheepishly makes his way over the game his eyes still glued to the field.
the third boy notices his expression and asks tries to break the ice.
Collen: Uhh... hi their names Collen, Collen Sparks. These are my friends Josh Brown, and Albert Rhodes." he states warmly while gesturing to the two players on either side of him.
