I'm Reborn?

3rd Person POV

It's a warm summer morning in the suburbs of Domino City. Birds are chirping and the sun is shining brightly, all is truly right with the world. A young couple even brings their newborn baby home for the first time. A Newborn b aby boy with amber eyes, Tan skin, and short b lack hair. As the couple near a small white, house they take the baby inside for the first time, only the baby seems very upset for some reason, almost like he doesn't want to go inside. The couple believe their son to just be tired, or even just missing the hospital he's been staying at for a few days. After taking him inside and laying him into his personal crib in the living room they both walk into the kitchen and begin cooking dinner. It's truly an ordinary 1 story house, an ordinary husband with a 9-5 job. And an ordinary housewife, but this is not an ordinary child, this is the reincarnation of Alex Zee.

Alex POV:

YOU'VE GOTTA BE SHITTING ME! WHY AM I A TODDLER?!! This was never a part of the deal. (growls) Okay, think that damn admin did say I would be 'reborn' right? But I thought it would be like waking up in a park somewhere near the main cast, not a literal rebirth. I mean how am I supposed to save the world as a BABY?!

-Time Skip 2 Years-

-As Alex continued to curse the admins decision to reincarnate as a toddler, two years had passed, and Alex was slowly beginning to understand not only this new world but his new body as well.

Hard to believe it's already been two whole years sins coming here. I've grown a lot since then.

-Alex can be seen wearing a white shirt with blue stripes, grey shorts, and black shoes. he's walking around the house carrying a stack of newspapers into his bedroom. A room litterd with old magazines, papers, books and even decks of playing cards.

It's been hard to gather info about this world so far. With no internet or social media, best sources for info and newspapers and magazines from the local news stand. From what I can tell Pegasus hasn't invented duel monsters yet, hell even his wife is still alive. So, I'm at least a decade from when its created. in the meantime I should gather as much info as I can regarding the Millenium items and especially the shadow games. I used to watch Yugioh biblically with my friends, even read some of the manga but that doesn't mean it'll all be usefull. the more i interfere with the plot thw less acurate that info becomes. It best for me to use by past memories as a helpful guide rather than some kind of script.

-Flash Back to The Administrator-

Administrator: "I'm glad you asked PLAYER 1. You see administrators can't directly involve themselves in the worlds they protect so we need to choose champions, champions from other worlds, who are not only versed in combat styles native to said world, but who can also blend in with the masses. People. Like. You. (Boop)"

"People like me. What are you dense? I don't know how to fight, and neither do my friends?! Closest thing we've got is...!" As the realization hits me, I can see the admins grinning face as I realize, "You need duelist?"

Administrator: "BINGO! And you wanna know the best part is, it's a world almost identical the series you know and love. Isn't that great!?"

-End Flash Back-

"Almost Identical"

"I need to figure exactly what she meant by 'Almost'. It could the difference between life and death. (Sigh) Whatever, there's no use worrying about that yet it's still a decade off at the very least, and besides I've got a trump card no one else has. SYSTEM OPEN."

A wide blue screen appears in front of me floating in midair the screen reads:

-WELCOME PLAYER 1-

After greeting me the screen changes to reveal another menu. It shows a few different tabs to select form, Missions, Stats, Shop, Decks.

This is called the System, it works almost like a video game. it gives me rewards for completing daily tasks, and even has its own currency system. I'm not sure how it all works though since everything aside from my Missions and my "GEMS" Are locked off. If I had to guess I've gotta meet some kind of requirement to unlock the other screens. The Deck one is easy enough to understand, I probably just have to put together a deck, but what bugs me are the other two, Stats and Shop. If I can't buy cards or use the Gems then why even let me Earn'em. And why the hell can't I see my own Stats? I mean they're mine right? (Sigh) Whatever it's not all bad, it does give my one thing I can use.

[Shadow Storage Activate]

To room grows darker as my shadow almost seems to lurch towards the endless pile of old magazines, and newspapers. After reaching them all the shadow seems to swallow it all whole, before it returns to my feet leaving a no trace of the mess that was there seconds before hand.

"Hehehe, I'll never get tired of that." The System appears by my side giving the notification. 'Shadow storage successful'. I got the skill roughly 6 months ago, right when the system revealed itself. Since then, I've been trying to figure out what it's for, I mean some characters have pretty broken abilities, like Atem's mind crush or Marik's mind control, but nothing like this. It does make me wonder though. "If I can store items from this world in my shadow what else can I do with it.?"

The shadow suddenly spits out a book onto the floor Infront of Alex titled "Egyptian Legends: Tales of The Occult Vol 1" Regardless I need to know more, because this ability just might be my key to surviving this in this World.

From that day forward Alex would devote himself to one goal. to see his friends again, no matter what. To that end he would not only need to save this world from chaos but prevent future threats brought about by it return.

"Okay, remember who were the Villans of the story and what can you do to stop them. Pegasus won't be an issue for a few years and even when he becomes one Duelist kingdom will be my best chance to stop him but he's hardly the heaviest hitter. Other threats like Marik, Noah, and Dartz will need attention too. but worst of all is Zork. But what can I do in the meantime..."

-3rd Person POV-

Unknown to Alex something seems to be watching him. A strange figure covered in darkness peers through a large golden mirror is bright blue eyes trained of Alex as if to study him.

???: "Soon... We will meet very soon."

Sorry about the SUPER late release I've had a lot on my plate these past few weeks. so, I won't give a due date for my future chapter instead I'll just work as hard as I can to give you guys the best story I can.
