It's been 2 years since I met Collin and the others. Since that day we've all grown really close spending nearly Everday after school dueling, collecting and even watching duel monsters. Truth be told we were some of the biggest nerds to ever exist when it came to this stuff. but today was special, today was the day we'd all meet up for our first four-way duel. and to make things even better we planned od doing at the place first met them all. 

We decided to meet at my place first, have a little lunch beforehand. it was either that or wait until tonight when we all had to be home, no way were we gonna cut the fun short for any other reason. unfortunately, once we finished eating my mother seemed to have other plans in mind.

Alex: "Huh?! what do you mean, you need us to run errands?!"

Alexs' Mom: "Exactly what I said, and don't talk back boy! Or else..."

-gives angry mom look-

Alex: "O-okay but do we have to me, and the guys had a big day planned for today?"

Collin: "Yeah. C'mon Ms. Zee can't Alex do it tomorrow?

All for boys: "Pleeeeeaaaassssee?"

Alexs' Mom: "No buts boys. Besides it nothing complicated..." 

-goes to pull out a series of plastic bags filled with plastic tubs of food-

Alexs's Mom: "All you have to do is take these down to the Soup Kitchen of 31st street. Is right next to the park you're going to anyway. Just drop them off really quick then you can go play your little game."

All four boys looked at the bags now resting on the kitchen counter, then at each other. before anyone could say anything, all grabbed two bags each and rushed out the door waving goodbye to the house as they ran down the street. The house slowly fading out of view the farther they ran, all laughing at the shared thought.

While running with his friends Alex can't help but look back on the last two years. It might not have even that long, but they were the best years of his life, he finally made friends and they loved games just as much as he did, even helping him out of his shell even if only a little. and he looks back with no regrets, from there dumbest of pranks, to the most heated of arguments, the four of them have all grown so close, Alex truly looked at them as family, as older brothers. And nothing would change that. these thoughts flooded not only Alexs happy mind buy the others as well, until something truly strange happened. while all the boys were running down the street and had the right of way a semi-truck slams into the four boys, but that's not what caught Alexs attention. No, it was the strange screen that seemed to pop into view just before the truck hit him, in the fraction of a second before his demise Alex could just barely make out what the screen said.

Screen: Congratulations Player 1...

All that left is a black void. Alex can be seen if an almost sleep like state floating through the void, covered in an almost spiritual state, devoid of any clothing or visible organs. nothing but the light being given off by his new form, and the blackness of the void, until a voice can be heard emanating from the void itself. a feminine voice directed directly towards the 'sleeping Alex.

???: "WAKE UP!!!"

Alex POV: 

Alex: "AHHHHH! W-hos there?! What happened to me?! Where am I?!"

???: "Hehehe! What are you talking about you already know what happened, you died. Remember?"

Wait hold on I died?! how is that possible? Okay Alex think you were on your way to the soup kitchen with everyone. Mom asked you to drop off some food, and then...
