[C3] Run

I could feel their eyes on us as we headed into the forest, "Hey are you okay?", "My brother found out I left again" I whispered, pausing our walk at the edge of the island cliff, taking in the sight, "Want to go on my back so you won't have to fly?" that is what the blond girl did with her natter I guess. I nodded, she tilted her head down, I took hold of one of her spikes and lifted myself, sitting on her back neck, "This is weird" we both said at the same time.

Holding onto her head spikes as she started flying, oh ice this is so uncomfortable and it was a long trip just to get here! I groaned at the thought, "Do you think your brother will be mad that we went out again?", "Definitely, and Valka will give me an ear full before I go to sleep too" I answered. The rest of the ride was just quiet, taking a few stops for her to get stamina back, soon making it to the well-known island I'd lived on all my life.

I sigh loudly as she lands on an ice pillar that leads directly to the kitchen or main room I guess, "Shift back" Fifi reminds me as soon as I get off, I nod and shift back to my half-human half-dragon form before walking in. Soon enough when we walked in further, Valka spotted us, her stare was stern as ever when we do this, "I told you to stop going out, it's dangerous "

"She's right, Y/n" I crossed my arms and looked at the ground, "We didn't get hurt so it's fine" I mumbled, "What if someone spotted you?" I stayed quiet. We did get spotted. "Y/n, did someone see you..?" I shook my head. My brother looked at me then at Fifi, shit, "Did he get spotted by humans", ".. Yes" I knew she couldn't fight back the mind-controlling power he had, no dragon could, but he only used it when needed.

Valka walked up to me and grabbed my shoulders roughly, "Y/n, that's dangerous! What were you thinking!?" she yelled, "It was an accident" I muttered, I hate when she does this, getting up in my face like she's my mother, she isn't. "You're not leaving ever again, I'm going to have to keep an eye on you until you learn" I looked at her wide eyes, "What!? That's not fair!" she shook her head, "Y/n, we did go a bit too far and spotted.." Fifi said behind me, I growled.

I pulled away and went to my room, pulling a hidden door trap, made of, of course, ice, from the floor up where my hidden supplies were. Creative and as classic as it was, no one knew or found out about it, not even Fifi, I can't tell her, she can be controlled by my brother for answers.

I didn't have much in my stash, but it's not like I needed much, I can make fire, I can hunt, I can hide. Pulling the pack out of its confinement and attaching the bag to my back strap, I let out a sigh and went to the window, crawling out of it, thankfully I'm small enough to fit- "Y/n?!" I looked over to see Valka at my room entrance, I looked away and flew away fast, as fast as I could, not looking back no matter what my head was yelling.

Not just instinct, but my brother, I hate it. He can "communicate" with me yet I can't do it back... Perks of being half human I guess... After a bit, the sun was down and the moon rose, so I stopped and landed on some island, "Ugh my wings hurt" I groaned, stretching my limbs, This is good exercise for them I guess, I walked over to a tree and leaned back on it, letting my eyes close and slumber consume me.
