ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ'This is just terrible.' He sighed internally, looking at the sleeping child with worry. 'I didn't know this world is messed up, beating up a child? Seriously? Who in their right mind would do that?'. He gritted his teeth unconsciously while biting his bottom lip. A troubled look resting on his face as he kept glancing down at the child on his bed.

His eyes widened after realizing something. 'I never asked for his name...', and  boy was he disappointed at himself. 'I guess I'll have to wait till he wakes up...' The older male thought, looking at the setting sun, only then realizing how much time had passed.

Getting up fron the chair he placed near the bed, he carefully made his way to the kitchen, making sure not to make any unnecessary loud noises whilst he quitely gathered the ingredients for a simple soup. One that his mother used to make for him when he is sick or injured.

Smiling at the memory, he didn't notice the small figure that is slowly sitting up. Looking at the older man curiously with a wary gaze.

"What're you doing?" Startled from the sudden voice, he flinched, turning around almost as quick as a lightning.

"Oh kid!" He shrieked, smiling at the boy nervously. "I was just... fixing us a quick meal, as it is almost night." The older man said. 'I swear this child is trying to kill me with heart attack' He thought, before focusing on making the soup.

Nothing was spoken between the two, the crickets outside of the house and the cutting of the vegetables being the only sound that is breaking the silence.

The male gasped, making the child look up from him with a deadpanned expression. The male turned his body around to face the child, before smiling. "Thats right! I never got your name kid."

The child, slightly disturbed from the males sudden turn, begrudgingly stated his name. "My name is Kian Veile, what about you old man?"

For a split second, [name]'s world stopped. 'Did I hear that right?!' he though, disbelief showing through his face as he looked at the child. 'That's... That is that one... That one chaarcter in that one novel I read... No wonder he seems so familar.' He quickly turned around, ignoring the child and his insult. Too focused on the childs name to even brother berate him for what he called him.

"T-that reminds me, wouldn't your parents be looking for you right now? I s-should help you get home." He said nervously, too afraid to look at the child. 'Isn't this just my luck?! This damn future possessive murderous psycho is here with me!' He panicked, wanting to pinch himself to see if he is dreaming.

The boy, bewildered from the sudden mans attitude, could not help but speak up. "You never answered my question, what is your name?"

That scared him even more, he's contemplating wether he should tell him or not. 'But I might get killed if I don't say anything. This child has a higher rank than me, no doubt he'll make my death easy.' Despite him being a child, the older male couldn't help but think of the future the child will become. 'Just keep it low for now...' He said to himself.

Sighing internally, he slowly turned to look at the child again and smiled with his eyes closed. "My name is [name]." He tried to make himself look himself welcoming but he instead looked like he accidentally pooped his pants with how tense his shoulder are.

"You look stiff." The boy pointed out. Although his voice held no emotions, the older male couldn't help but feel ridiculed, ad though the boy is saying he was afraid. And of course he is, who wouldn't be? "Do you perhaps know me?"

Yes he does, in a more knowledgeable way, since reading the novel had its perk, but he can't just say he knew him because of a book.

Although, he already had the perfect alibi as to why he acted tense around the boy.

The Veile Family had a reputation, the father being a Grand Duke. One of the high ranking in the empire. Below the King and the Emperor, but enough power to be feared. The boy that is currently in his house, is the heir to the Veile Family, and the only child.

Which reminds him how dead he is. 'Did I accidentally kidnap a child?! A heir no less!!! Oh no, is my execution being prepared right now as I am thinki-' He suddenly got interrupted by a sudden cough.

"You don't seem well, do you still wish to continue cooking? I doubt the food will cook itself." The boy had already confirmed his question upon seeing the older males reaction. He paid no mind to it, already used to these reactions.

"R-right... Hopefully you can wait a little longer." The older male stuttered out, thinking of ways to return the child without him getting in trouble and getting accused of kidnapping. 'This is not going well for me...' He cried out inside his mind, the problem adding more to his frustration.

The child smiled at the older male. 'His reaction is hilarious, this just doesn't change.' The boy thought, expecting more of the guy as he will be spending more time with him till his recovery, wanting to stay by the mans side a little longer.
