The uncertainty of where you fall. How deep.
What awaits you down there?
Will you be caught, will you land gently on a soft, sprung floor
or will you fall so hard onto the ground that you can hardly feel anything?

That's what love feels like. You give yourself to a person and hope that he reciprocates these feelings,
but love is fleeting sometimes.
The person you thought was your true love dumps you, they wanted more. Without shedding a tear, they let go of you and you fall into a deep absyss.
The fear of what lies below is unbearable, the deep, dark hole of loneliness calling to you.

A silent longing for an anchor, a desperate grasp for something to hold on to.
The desperate hope for someone to catch you before you fall too hard.
But the abyss stares back up at you, mocking your desire for connection
A feeling of betrayal spreads through your veins.
The pain of knowing you were just a pawn in their game.
Thoughts swirl uncontrollably in your head. The agony is almost unbearable and then... The impact.

A stabbing pain, tears in the eyes and a quiet crack...

What breaks after this fall isn't bones, it's something much more sensitive,
the heart.

That's what Venus' mother felt after her husband left her for another woman.
She was never the same.
She turned to alcohol to cope with the pain, a deep-seated agony that no drink would ever wash away.
She became distant from her daughter, emotionally unavailable. Every night she would go home drunk and collapse in her bed, only to start over the next day.
Her drinking consumed her, destroying every connection she once had until all that was left was loneliness.

Seeing her mother like this, Venus swore herself that she never wanted to become like her.
So she set herself some rules: She would never fall for relationships, never let her heart be broken, never become dependent on anyone but herself.   
She became a strong, independent woman, determined to never let herself go down a path of destruction.

But it all went downhill after she noticed that that stupid blonde guy was always stuck in her mind.

She wanted nothing to do with him, she had sworn to herself she would be nothing like her mother.
But this guy, this guy was different. He was the only one who could make her feel something, anything.
They had this secret thing going on and she couldn't help but fall for him.
But why? She didn't know herself. His blue eyes, his stupid jokes, his dumb grin, his stupid laugh...
