In the days leading up to our dinner, I'd become acutely aware of three separate things. Realisations if you will.
The first occurring once dani arrived home to her flat which is just across the hallway from mine. She begged for a debrief of the grammys.
I couldn't tell her anything she didn't already know from the endless clips circling the media. Me with sabrina, me with the reporters, me blushing like a child at the mere mention of Lando (thanks to my flawless acting skills.) My face has been everywhere for days on end.
I could, however, tell her how Lando came to pick me up from the airport and how we'd been getting along. To that information, she'd grimaced and warned me to be careful.
But, I'd quickly squashed any worries when I told her I sort of snapped and hadn't heard from him since.
She was, understandably, confused as I'd left out key details. Such as, what had caused me to spiral. And when I confessed it was "the hangover's fault," she called bullshit.
Thus, leading to realisation number 1; not so much a new realisation but a realisation nonetheless. Despite being a brilliant actress, I am a terrible liar.
