"This is working perfectly!" Kelly says, and I can hear the happiness radiating in her voice even through the phone. "You two are literally the most mentioned hashtag online!"
"That's good to hear," I say, happy that all the time and energy I'm investing into this fake relationship is paying off at least.
"Tom and I are still finalising which date is best for a hard launch but the projected time frame is a couple of weeks away. Probably the first week of march."
"Huh but lando's in Bahrain isn't he?" I ask absentmindedly as I'm looking out the window onto the monaco streets.
"Yes so it'll be after the first race, once he gets back." Kelly answers.
"It'll most likely be a couple of weeks before you fly over to Mexico for the festival and the grand prix." She continues to explain. "What are the odds that they'd align, it's great as we'll be able to generate excitement from both ends."
"Right, and everything's set for lollapalooza?" I ask. I'd gotten together with my creative team months ago to discuss the set design and costume, and it's fair to say I'm excited. Although, I haven't performed in over a year so I'm a little nervous.
The nerves are the reason I'm so worried about everything, I just really want it to be perfect.
"Yes everything's ready, we just need you to finalise the surprise songs you mentioned." She responds.
"God, I'd totally forgotten thank you!" I speak, "I've been so busy with writing new music and the whole lando thing, i haven't been able to think."
When I'd planned my performance I wanted to include an acoustic section. It would be dedicated to singing surprise songs that are unreleased and I'd completely forgotten about it until now.
But, inspiration had actually struck out of nowhere, following my date with lando, just like he said it would. And I've been writing new songs all day yesterday and this morning.
