I glared around. It seemed so beautiful here. I didn't want to leave. I also didn't want to talk to Crowwing, but I knew I had to.

I jumped across the stepping stones. It was as scary as it was before. With the rushing river below me, I knew I could've easily died. But, life carried on. Hoorah.

When I got to the other side, I padded away from the shore. I saw Crowwing sitting behind a stone.

"Crowwing?" I asked, my eyes wide with shock.

He narrowed his. "Silversong. I saw you going beyond the border."

I gulped. Crap. "Uhm..." I hesitated. What do I say? "I went to go see what was over there."

He looked at me. "Had fun with the tom?"

I raised my eyebrow in disgust. "Yes. Why do you care?" I spat.

"Because it is against code. And, you said you loved me!" He stood up. His tone was beginning to raise, and I just noticed his claws unsheathed.

My heart pounded with a sense of getting the hell out of there. I unsheathed my claws, a low growl erupting in my throat.

Sure enough, he lunged. It caught me off guard, and I was pinned to the floor. I began to hiss. He hissed right back at me, and I remained quiet.

He slowly began to insert his claws in my shoulders, making me wince as they went deeper.

"What do you want from me?!" I screamed, trying to shove him off.

"For you to love me," he whispered rather calmly, "and I will not take no for an answer."

I shivered, blood beginning to trickle from his claws. "I-" I glanced over to the stepping stones.

Flint was running across them. He shoved his body at Crowwing, knocking him off me. Crowwing fell in the sand as Flint lowered slightly, hissing.

I picked myself up with a sting in my shoulders. I gave Flint a grateful tap on his side and stood behind him.

"The tom! The tom from over the river," Crowwing exclaimed. "A rogue. I have the right to punish you, don't I?"

Flint rolled his eyes. "I think I have the right to punish you for hurting my Silversong."

Crowwing's eyes went wide. Then narrowed. Then they filled with a raging fury I had never seen from him before. "Your Silversong?" He hissed, his claws digging into the sand.

"That's what I said, didn't I?"

Crowwing lunged at Flint, but I immediately came in front of him and knocked Crowwing back to the ground. "Stay away from him," I curled my lip back in a snarl. "Actually, stay away from us."

He looked up at me with upset eyes. "S-" he began, then quickly stopped himself.

I gazed back at Flint. He winked at me, and I blushed.
