"What's going on over there?"

"I have no idea but whatever it is can't be good. That crowd is in an uproar." Groaning and rolling my eyes, "I wish you weren't so nosey brother."

"Should we check it out Curtis?" Winston requests curiously, ignoring half of my statement.

"In this broken down city, I'm surprised there aren't more fights honestly. This place is lawless Winston, there is no point in getting involved." I try to wave it off and continue onward.

"It could be interesting though brother." He grabs my shoulder and yanks backwards. "Come on, we have been following dead end rumors for weeks now."

"We can check it out if you will shut up and get back to the hunt." Shoving his hand off me, turning to face him, "I highly doubt it's anything special anyway."

Pushing through the people who are crowed at the end of the alley way reveals a shocking sight. Both myself and Winston have seen many things that go beyond reason in our line of work, this however is completely foreign.

A young female stands with her back firmly in the dead end alley, her eyes and body emitting a faint shadowy fire. There is a feral look in her gaze, and despite the terrible state of her appearance, very formidable. At her feet lay 7 miscreants dead and the ones left facing her down are hesitant to advance.

"Trident why don't you go and try your luck?" A short and lean built man huffs out, the knuckles on his fingers are white as he holds a metal club.

"Hell no!" Trident shouts. "No bounty or provisions worth that Paul." The man steps back, lowering his sword.

"We finally got the Shadow Walker cornered again, if we all rush in-" A taller but more rounded man steps beside me.

"Rush in? Did you not see how the last 3 died Joe?" Trident shakes his head, uncertainty heavy on his features.

Out of pure curiosity, I shove two random men in front of me forward. Remaining silent as they stumble hard, landing a few paces in front of the girl.

Once they righted themselves it was already too late for them. I observe the young lady intently, the way she launches herself into an attack is impressive.

In mere fractions of a second the largest guy drops hard. A clean slice across his neck, it happened so fast it takes the poor soul to realize he is already dead.

She leaps up with agility only assassins should have, twisting mid air to drive the same dagger into the other male. Both drop right on top of the others, clever girl is making a controlled stack of bodies.

"Alright now, who was the cheeky bastard that shoved Tom and Tim?" A new voice calls out from behind Trident.

"This is pointless now anyway Jona, let's just call it a night." Trident rubs the back of his neck, defeat evident as he glances back at the girl.

"You sure Trident?" The one called Jona steps out from the crowd.

"We still have a chance. I say we launch an all out assault at once." Paul grins eagerly.

"She already got 9 bodies, 1 more and she will be gone anyway." Joe adds in to their conversation.

"There is always another shot guys. We need to come up with another plan-"

"All the traps and preparations fail anyway Trident. Why keep trying if we won't even push more now?!" Paul wails with laminated expressions, greed will be his death one day.

"Paul then you do it. Set up your own operation. As for the rest of us, yall heard Trident. That's it for this attempt." Jona turns and slowly dismisses the lot of people away.
