(Amber's POV)
I need to join the Batman. I have to. I need to avenge Carrie. It's not fair. She always hated my dad. Maybe she always knew that he'd be the death of her.
"Amber, please stop pacing. You're making my head spin. And, frankly, I'm worried about you. You've been so quiet lately. Ever since... the incident. I know it's only been a few days. But you need to talk it out. Either with me or a therapist. Please Amber." Michael pleads. He's been trying to read as I've been pacing the living room.
I come over to him and move the book off of his lap. I put the book down and crawl into his lap. I don't say a word. I just close my eyes and relax with him holding me.
After about half an hour, I decide to get up and go for a walk. Michael had grabbed the book and continued reading with me in his lap. I move the book once again. I start to head towards the door.
"Where are you going?" Michael asks.
"I'm going stir crazy. I'm going for a walk. Is that ok with you, mother?" I ask, sarcastically, turning back to him.
"Uh.. no. Just becareful ok?" he says quietly, going back to his book.
I turn and walk out into the crisp night, zipping up my hoodie and pulling up the hood.
I really shouldn't be so hard on him. He's trying to help. I just keep shutting him down. I'll make it up to him. Some way.
I've walked just an hour away when I hear a swishing sound behind me. I spin around to face the Batman. Oh boy.
"Heard you were looking for me." he says with a quiet, gravelly voice.
"I... How did you hear that." I ask.
"Not important. Why were you looking for me." he asks.
"I...Um.. I, well, I have information.... that might interest you." I say.
"I already know who your father is. I also know where your loyalties lie. You would be sending me into a trap." he says, grabbing my arm.
"No! I promise I'm not. Really! I can tell you where the Hideout is. Please. I'm not on his side." I tell him, hoping that he will loosen his grip on my arm. He does.
"Alright. I'm listening." he says.
After I've told him everything I know he doesnt speak. He stares at me for a moment. All of a sudden, he grabs me and injects a serum into my neck.
"What the hell?!" I yell, immediately getting sleepy.
"I'm taking you to your brother." he says, simply.
I feel myself growing heavier as he lifts me up. Slowly my vision gets fuzzy, then goes black.
(Joker's POV)
I've been pacing for quite sometime. I lost track of how long I've been pacing. Catwoman got caught and thrown in Arkham. Matthew wasn't. Which means the Bat still has him. I can't let him get to Amber. He'll hurt her. I can't let that happen.
"Um... Mr. Joker, sir?" says a small voice behind me.
I turn to look at Jess. "What?!" I snap at her. Oops. Didn't mean for that to come out so harsh.
"I... uhh.. Was just wondering if everything is alright. I mean, you've been pacing for almost an hour." she says, looking a little nervous. I shouldn't take this out on her. It's not her fault. No! Joker, what are you thinking. You can do whatever the hell you want. You own this town and everyone in it.
