Surprise!!
ARGH IM SO EXCITED
Quickly before we begin, let's keep this simple...
🌨️First up Y/n stands for you're name.
🌨️Second I like to use these as thoughts the character is having. Like a subconscious thing idk.
🌨️Thirdly... ( ...) Mini authors notes (a/n) because I must have something very important to say. I usually do. For example...
(First law of the sea. Never place your rear end on a pirate's face.)🌨️Lastly... the features of Y/n in this story are pretty loose, and mostly up to you're desires and wants. It's truely all up to you! This is your reading experience, it's yourself or oc. Do what fits you. This is you or you oc in this story, do what fits you.
Let's begin!!

"Darkness... That's the first thing I remember. The world around me was glum and lifeless. Everything felt still, and it scared me." Trying to pry my eyes open is like torture, I can't see beyond my own nose at first, everything blends, into a mucky cluster of deep colours and hazy shapes. "But then, then I saw the moon" a subconscious feeling pulls my eyes to look up, and gently my vision clears to see a delicate sight, a comforting one. "The moon seemed to gaze down at me, big and bright, like it was chasing the darkness away."
A large rush of air files up my lungs, a gasp I very much needed as my body begins to lift. Taking in my surrounds I feel the tickle of damp grass grace my legs as they lift off the ground, the flower petals leave delicate swipes across my arms as they leave the surface. My hair falls from my shoulders while my body approaches the moon and my vision feels so perfectly clear now, the discomfort and pain is gone as the moon guides me. In a moment of silent fear in the dark world I have awoken in, the moon welcomes me, encourages me and makes me feel safe inside. I feel a rush of inner peace. "And when it did, I wasn't scared anymore."
As I'm held in his delicacy above the trees and under his beam of light, I feel his gentle touch on my skin, filling me and my world with life, like a delicate hand caressing my cheek with his ghostly touch. His worlds are so simple, so short, non existent but I hear them, it just isn't enough. I can't seem to grasp enough of what little he's telling me.
"It often keeps me up at night, 'Why I was there' and 'what I was meant to do', I just don't know, I don't understand. And deep down part of me me wonders if I ever will." My feet lower onto the ground, the damp droplets of chilly water fall onto them send chills up my spine. While regaining my balance and composure I take the moment to look around my self. The world is lightened by the moon, beams creating patterns of cool light between shadows of leafy trees. The grassy fields are filled with beautiful, tall trees, appearing as though they have developed for endless years, their branches and leaves cascading towards the ground decorated with flowers and bright, pretty bushes. Which dance their way around and back to my own two feet.
Though I do see that the little plants look more lush and lively, the closer they are to me. Is that just in my head or...
Curiosity overtakes my mind, and I bend down to reach out gently tapping a flower that looks like it doesn't have as much life. And like magic, the petals lift and the colours brighten, no longer looking dual and sad but now like their have a purpose amongst each other. This fills me with shock, how is this possible? How would I be capable of connect to a plant like this? Surely not right? I need to test this again. Standing back firm on my feet I decide to give this another chance and focus on creating a cluster of flower to sprout. I take a few breath in, trying to focus and believe in this ability, it's now or never. Shutting my eyes tightly I push my hand through the air, scared to see if it was Al in my head or if I am actually able to do this. A gentle whoosh sounds out along with the breathiest twinkle like a wind chime. What was that? I peak out of one eye and the shock I feel when I see a fresh patch of lovely flowers standing below when my hand had rushed passed. No way?!
Looking to my other side I think it looks a little bare, what better place than to try again. I raise my other hand, and swipe my open palm across the grassy space, this time watching at the lush petals sprouts up and open wide. I did it! I actually am capable of such mystical talent!
The excitement and adrenaline rushes through my body at this new found discovery, I just can't help but squeal with joy. This is incredible! I frolic my way through the flowers, padding through the grass and dashing passed the bushes and under the trees and their low hanging vines, giggling as life is brought to each plant I directly pass. I can feeling them brightening and can see their colours become lush and beautiful. It's so mesmerising and fulfilling, and so hard to comprehend but I do love it.
Getting caught in the moment I barely dodge a long hanging branch and trip over my feet while trying to avoid it. And although I crash to the ground, it welcomes me, the soft clovers invite me to land on them and I rolls around, enjoying the feeling of their lively, peaceful and relaxing presence.
Coming to a stop from rolling and tumbling I see a beautiful, huge willow tree and I just have to feel the smooth bark on its trunk. It just feels like it was welcoming me to wrap my hands over it, I won't say around because it's just that big my arms are basically stretched out against it flat! Taking a step back to breath the earthy scent of rained on dirt and leaves I hear a crunch under my foot. Looking down at the culprit I see a little twig, funny, when I steps on it I also feel like a crack in my arm which gives me a little discomfort for a moment. Odd...
I spot another twig laying around and press my heel into it, again feeling another crack but in my hip this time. What was that? What does this mean? Why do I feel the discomfort form something outside of me?
I feel something brush passed the back of my head and whip around at the strange sensation. There I eye a dark and smoky pendent on the end of a chain. It looks mystical and eerie but when the moon hits it, little golden speckles catch my attention. How interesting...
Something tells me to take it, something feels like it's mine. I can't recognise where it comes from but now that I'm thinking about it, I can't really place my thought on anything except for the events I just experienced. I mean where am I? Taking the smoky pendent from the branch I loop it around my neck for safe keeping and begin my trudge in the direction of light. I learn on approach that the light came from a village. It seems to be the outskirts of a small town winding down for the night, though some people still wander the streets. Some wander passed with their horse and cart, others walk hand in hand with their children, all seeming to be contempt and enjoying the summery breeze. Maybe one of them could tell me where I am! I look down at my tattered clothing, subconsciously comparing it to those who I see before me. I mean I'm not really dressed my best right now, hopefully no one will turn their nose up at me.
Putting on a bright smile I wander through, still that adrenaline filled saunter in my stride "hello. Hello! Good evening, ma'am." I greet but the woman continues on, she was a little side tracked with her kids, she's probably too busy right now.
"Oh! Ah-ah excuse me, sooty I was just hoping that you can tell me where I am-" I approach someone and their child skipping right along in my direction but to my horror, I am walked through. Like a ghost, they pass through me. What is happening? Why did that happen? Am I here? Am I a figment of my own imagination? "Hello?" While pondering in shock and discomfort I feel the gut dropping feeling as another person passed through me, all my excitement and happiness is drained at this new dreaded sensation. I stumble my way out from the edge of the town, feeling alone, hurt, cold and especially glum inside.
"My name is Mother Nature. How do I know that? Well the moon said so. But that's all that he said to me. And now that was a long, long time ago."
AGH! How exciting! I'm already loving writing this!
