After walking for some time on the path, a faint glimmer of an orange light was seen.
Akiyo- we're here.
The pathway opened up to a wide area where a fire was streaming off with the others surrounding it. The whole group was here.
Mimako- they made it!
She rushed over to Akiyo and gave him a quick kiss.
Mimaki- we've been waiting.
She peeked over to Haruki and forced a a hyper attitude.
Mimaki- oh Haruki... please sit, we're just getting started.
Haruki saw that behind her, Ibu and Ruka were patiently sitting on logs sharing a single scarf while watching the fire roaring to life.
Haruki- thank you Mimaki.
He placed his hands within his coat pocket to protect them from the cold and took a seat next to Ibu but without getting too close to him. He appeared too awkward with them as his lips shivered with chills. Ibu handed him a soda with a blank face.
Ibu- care to have one?
Haruki took it with a small gentle smile.
Haruki- thank you.
Akiyo stood up to the fire and winged his arms apart with open fingers.
Akiyo- Fantastic, now that we're all settled, let's start off with a congratulation to Haruki on getting accepted to the Shirabara Arts University on a full scholarship and as well as in early admittion.
His left eye slightly twitched. Everyone clapped their hands.
Akiyo- now let's get on with some conversation. Haruki?
Haruki held the soda can between his hands feeling a bit nervous.
Akiyo- just how do you gain so many admirers at school like that? Everyone wants to know.
Ibu and Ruka leaned their headd forward while Mimaki looked as if she was about to burst with unpaitent.
He- uhh... well, I dont ever do it on purpose. I was always taught by my family that kindness makes you a better person. That's why I'm so honest with myself and everyone around me. I never had the thought to lie, steal, certainly not abuse, or even to curse at anyone.
Mimaki- but aren't there times when you just feel jealous of you feel like doing something you're not suppose to be doing?
Haruki grinned honestly to the ground.
Haruki- No.
Ibu clutched his hands tightly.
Akiyo- Do you ever think that there might be some people who hate you because of how you are?
Haruki- hehe, I don't really know actually. I mean, you guys went ahead and invited me here to this place when you could have done it without me. I know you're trying to be my friends. Hehe.
Mimaki turned her face away from him and stuck her tongue out.
Akiyo- ...
Ruka gave him a pinky sign nodding. Akiyo- good then, let's begin by playing a little game of guessing. Haruki, ... have you ever played the game of Hang Man when you were a little kid, right?
Haruki automatically remembered playing with his little sister. The memory was melted into his heart.
Haruki- of course.
Akiyo clasped his hands together hard with a smirk curving his mouth.
Akiyo- well... we play it differently.
