It was cold. But a cold that isolated the world from the rest of the freezing atmosphere. He strolled on the vast streets with the moon above his head and a chilling tone to his throat as he tried not to swallow. He had done it. He had gotten rid of those who had mistreated his being and it was finally over. However, Haruki still felt empty. A hollow heart can only go so far when thoughts cloud the mind with hinderous memories.
Haruki  walked into a street that was part of his route from when he would go to school or back home.
Haruki-...
He felt nothing but emptiness and a mysterious sadness.
He stopped walking any further. Here it was, right in front of him. Haruki's house was dark with only a single light coming from a large window. He knew that window quite well because it belonged to the only little girl he cared about.

Himeru was in her bedroom placing colored paper on top of a low desk with an excited smile to her face. She appeared to be so very happy, it was ridiculously painful to gaze at any longer. Haruki's chest began to throb before he gritted his teeth.
Haruki- No!
Himeru turned swiftly towards her window with her large eyes. She came up and opened the glass to the outside. Her tiny head searched the gloomy surroundings.
Himeru- Big brother?
But Haruki was already gone. He had walked away without a second glance at his chance. He pulled his hoodie over his head to conceal his broken eyes.
Haruki- I can't... I have to... I have to do it... Before it becomes too painful... I'm so sorry...
He dashed into the woods and vanished from the other world of the kind. Haruki was no longer a part of the innocence of humanity... and he knew that...
