Thornhill Highs library almost never sees a human being enter its doors. It's only ever entered by the librarian and a 16-year-old girl who likes to be alone. The library is a large, warm, comfortable room that has rows upon rows of books, and a few study areas. No one enters the library as the librarian has a long list of strict rules that the students gave up on following and even learning. Amity loves being in the library - as she can get her work done and be left alone from the bullies who get screamed at by the librarian every time they enter those doors. They are loud, obnoxious, reckless, rulebreakers and don't have a kind bone within.

Just like every other lunch time, the library is silent. You could hear a pin drop on the other side of the room. These moments were Amity's favourite as she can be herself and get lost in her thoughts with no one around to ask her questions or try and distract her. The librarian is as familiar with her routine as a mother would be with their child, she knows the exact time she enters the library every day and the exact area she likes to sit in.
"Good afternoon, Amity," the librarian said, "your area is all set up for you."
"Good afternoon and thank you Mrs. Cassidy." Amity replied whilst she started walking towards the area mentioned. This particular area is her favourite as it is by a window, secluded by rows of books, has the perfect view of the door, and is far enough from the door to be able to quickly hide if someone enters the doors.

'BANG' the doors had been slammed open, followed by a storm of thunderous footsteps
"STOP RIGHT THERE THIS INSTANT!" Mrs. Cassidy shouted, "you have broken not one, not two, but three of my rules. Do I need to repeat them to you again?"
"No ma'am" one of the guys in the back of the group said.
"I'm sorry, I didn't catch that."
"No ma'am, you don't need to repeat them," the same guy had said, louder this time, "also, we are sorry about breaking them, again."
"We will get out of your hair now ma'am," another guy said, this time one at the front of the group.
"Well, get along then" she stood with her arms crossed and a glare that could kill on her face, "I am waiting." The group of boys didn't need to be told twice, they rushed out the doors as fast as a cheetah chasing its prey.
"Thank you Mrs. Cassidy," Amity said as she slowly turned the corner she was hiding behind after the doors slammed.
"You're welcome sweetheart, it was no trouble at all." Amity started walking towards her table again, although as she got near, she felt a gust off wind rush through her. She brushed it of as nothing, but felt like she wasn't actually present in her body for the rest of the period.

Amity started packing her things up just before the bell went. As she was heading towards the door she stopped to talk to Mrs. Cassidy for a little.
"Have a nice day sweetheart" Mrs. Cassidy said as amity got ready to head to her next class.
"I will try, Mrs. Cassidy, have a lovely evening I'll see you tomorrow," she responded as she started heading towards the doors.
"Will do love, will do." Amity started heading towards her classroom when all of a sudden, she bumped into someone, the someone being a person she hates encountering with.
"Watch where you go nerd!" he said sneering down at her as if they own the place. He kind of does, his father is the owner of the school.
"No," Amity whispered as she continued looking ahead of her.
"What did you just say?" he questioned, "hmm... I'm waiting"
"Hmm... oh nothing" she said as she moved to head around him to head to her classroom.
"You do not get to walk away from me loser, I haven't finished with you yet." He then grabbed Amity by her ponytail and slammed her into the lockers next to them. "This is what losers get for disrespecting me." He dropped Amity after punching her multiple times in the stomach and then walked off in the opposite direction.

Amity was in her bedroom studying for a test when she heard a voice.
'We should have fought back.' Except no one else was around. Her mum was at work, and no one was over. 'We should have done anything other than let him beat us up.'
"What do you mean we? I got beat up. I don't even know who you are." Amity exclaimed as she spun in circles trying to figure out where the voice was coming from.
'I'm inside your head, you idiot.' The same voice said with a hint of manic.
"What? Am I going insane." She started pacing her room, "no one is talking to me, no one is in my head, I am just going insane, I am just going insane." She kept repeating that to herself until she heard it again, this time a lot louder.
'Oh trust me, you are going to go insane after I am done with you.' It said.
"Just go away!" Amity screamed before collapsing onto her bed and screaming into her pillow.
'No, I own you know, you will do what I say.'
