My life after migrating to South Korea went smoothly even though sometimes there were problems that could not be avoided. However, the name is also life not everything goes smoothly not everything goes according to what we expect.
My life changed completely after I migrated here, having to be away from my parents, a busy filming schedule, and again I felt empty. I feel like what I've worked for hasn't been achieved. Indeed, I am now an actress who has starred in many movies, but I miss my family. After 6 years I migrated to Korea, I spent 2 years as a trainee and in the 3rd year I just started my career.
During my trainee period I worked a lot of part-time jobs, just to fulfill my needs, because my agency did not cover all the needs of the trainees. We were only given a dormitory to live together and then, and other needs were covered by each of us.
My mother and first sister, Vero, used to send me money every month, but I never used it, I told them not to send me money anymore, but they still sent me money. As a result, I always save the money, because I feel that I no longer have the right to receive the money. This is my decision and I will take all the risks that I will face.
In order to realize my dream I had to leave home, because my father was angry and kicked me out of his house. Honestly, I was angry and disappointed, but I couldn't do anything about it.
In the next 2 weeks there will be an awards event held in Jakarta Indonesia, and I really hope that my father will come to the event, and we can release a sense of longing that is greater than anger. I hope he will give me his blessing.
I often contacted my mother, my two brothers and my sister, and sometimes we also went to meet each other to let go of our homesickness.
2 weeks later.
I'm currently at a 5-star hotel in Jakarta, my manager kim ellie and I are getting ready to leave for the awards ceremony which will be held in the next 2 hours. Because the distance between the hotel and the stadium where the awards were located was not far from the hotel, I decided to meet briefly with my best friend Lisa, she had been waiting for me and we were about to go together to watch the event.
Arriving at the backstage I immediately contacted my mother and sister to make sure that they came to meet me. After calling my mom it turned out that she had been at the stadium since 1 hour ago, which made me feel happy.
The awards ceremony was lively, I met a lot of actors and actresses. I also greeted and talked to some actors and actresses who had been in the same project with me, fortunately they were very kind and understanding to me, we even still often hang out together in our spare time.
Next was the announcement of the best actress nominees in 2023. There were several nominations for actors and actresses and one of them was me.
"The best actress of 2023 is .... congratulations to park genie" said the hosts.
The roar of the audience giving applause and congratulations from other actors made me feel happy, because I had won this nomination for two years in a row. As I walked onto the stage I accidentally caught a glimpse of my father, but it must have been impossible, because mom didn't tell me he was coming.
"Hello good evening everyone, I want to say a big thank you to my God, my parents and also to my fans who have supported me and given me a lot of love, and also the genie team and my manager, thank you all" I said a little speech and thank you.
After the show was over, I met up with my mom and kak vero at the backstage. Mom and kak vero congratulated me and hugged me. When I was talking to mom, suddenly someone grabbed my shoulder, but when I turned my body I was surprised, it turned out to be dad, this was really dad. I hugged my father tightly because this was my first time to meet him after 6 years of not meeting and communicating.
"I am very proud of you ve, forgive me if I have been selfish, I have never given you the opportunity to achieve what your dreams are, but you proved it to me, that you are able to succeed in your way" said my father while hugging me, I couldn't help but cry this really made me happy, happier than when I first appeared on the screen.
"Dad, I'm sorry, eve may be selfish in wanting to realize eve's dream, but eve succeeded, eve misses dad" I said to dad with a hoarse voice from crying.
"I'm proud of you ve, eve want to go home for a while dad miss you at home"
"Yes Dad"
And finally I returned home for the first time after migrating, the atmosphere of the house has not changed much but maybe now there are new family members, namely the family to vero and ka aldo, because they are married. My two older siblings decided they didn't want to live with my father and mother, even though my father and mother didn't mind, but they still refused.
When I entered my room, I felt sad because nothing had changed, it was still the same as before, my mother didn't want to change anything in my room, only the paint had been replaced with new paint because it was shabby but still with the same paint.
My life that I thought would continue to feel empty is no longer, because you have now found the antidote to the complete blessing of my parents, which makes my steps feel lighter.
