With determination, Fynn made his way to the station's laboratory. Thoughts raced through his mind as he navigated the destroyed corridors. As Fynn made his way towards the laboratory, he encountered an unexpected obstacle. A strange, thick substance coated the walls and machinery, pulsating with an ominous glow. Curiosity piqued, he cautiously approached, reaching out to touch it.
To his surprise, the substance clung to his fingers, leaving a sticky residue. Fynn furrowed his brow, puzzled by its presence. He attempted to analyze it with his tricorder, but the readings came back inconclusive.
Unaware of its harmful effects on the station's systems, Fynn dismissed the substance as a mere anomaly, something to be reported to Tharia and investigated later. With a shrug, he continued on his way to the laboratory, eager to uncover more information about the SCECS and the station's current predicament.
Eventually, he reached the laboratory, its entrance blocked by hanging cables and debris.
With a nimble step, he overcame the obstacles and entered. The laboratory was dimly lit, and the smell of burnt metal lingered in the air. In the distance, he could hear the faint hum of the remaining active consoles.
Fynn began to examine the remaining consoles, hoping to find clues about the SCECS. Eventually, he came across a console whose screen still functioned despite the destruction. With trembling fingers, he activated it and called Tharia.
"Tharia, I've made it to the lab. I'm accessing the database now," Fynn said, a sense of urgency in his tone.
Tharia's voice crackled through the communicator. "Good to hear, Fynn. Keep me updated on your findings."
As Fynn delved deeper into the station's records, he felt a surge of excitement as he uncovered the significance of SCECS
"Tharia, I've got it. SCECS stands for Singularity Core Energy Conversion System. It's responsible for generating the station's energy," Fynn relayed, his voice tinged with determination.
Tharia's response was swift. "Understood, Fynn. Make sure you stabilize it. We're counting on you."
Fynn made his way thru the corridor connecting the lab to the SCECS controller.
