Upon arriving at the SCECS, Fynn wasted no time and began conducting a thorough diagnosis of the unit. His eyes scanned over the blinking displays and swirling data streams.
His heart quickened as he realized that the anomaly had latched onto the SCECS control, feeding off the energy and causing instability throughout the system. The significance of this finding hit him like a ton of bricks as he recognized the potential disaster looming if the anomaly remained.
Fynn immediately reached for his communicator and contacted his ship. "Tharia, I've made a crucial discovery. The anomaly I found has attached itself to the SCECS control, causing instability throughout the system. We need to act fast to contain it before it's too late."
Tharia tried to stay calm and instructed Fynn "Can you send me the telemetric?" Fynn let his fingers fly over the controls sending data and searching further into the research logs. "Let me try something" Fynn said. Without time to intercept, Fynn aimed to the anomaly and fired a concentrated a Phaser beam, only to get absorbed. Concerned by this, Fynn once again scanned the Anomaly, noticing a slight imbalance caused by the energy absorption.
As Fynn and Tharia discussed the situation, ideas began to flow.
"We need to find a way to disrupt the anomaly's energy absorption," Fynn suggested, his voice filled with determination. "Perhaps if we can overload it with a surge of energy, it might destabilize."
Tharia nodded in agreement. "That could work, but we need to be cautious. We can't risk causing further damage to the SCECS or the station."
Fynn considered her words carefully. "What if we reroute power from another system temporarily? We could create a controlled energy surge directed at the anomaly."
Tharia's word echoed thru the room "Yes, that might just work. We can use the station's auxiliary power to generate the surge. But we'll need to synchronize it carefully to avoid overloading any critical systems."
Fynn nodded, impressed by Tharia's quick thinking. "Agreed. Let's coordinate with the engineering team to implement the plan. We'll need to act swiftly."
With their plan in motion, Fynn and Tharia coordinated with the engineering team to reroute power and create a controlled energy surge directed at the anomaly. Every second felt like an eternity as they worked against the clock, their nerves on edge with the weight of the station's fate hanging in the balance.
They wound up auxiliary power and fed it into the SCECS connection systems, Fynn and Tharia held their breath, watching intently as the anomaly reacted. For a moment, it seemed as though their plan might succeed, as the anomaly flickered and trembled under the onslaught of power.
But then, the anomaly began to pulse to the energy input, absorbing the energy surge and growing stronger. Fynn clenched his fists in frustration, while Tharia's brow furrowed in concern.
"It's adapting to the energy surge," Tharia muttered, her voice tinged with disappointment.
Fynn's mind raced as he considered their options. "We need to find another way to disrupt it," he said, his voice firm with determination. "We can't let it continue to feed off the station's energy."
