"Mom! I don't wanna go with you!" Devlin whined.
"Dev, no one else can take care of you." Charlie said to her really annoyed son.
"But what about Husker and Niffty or I can stay here alone." He proposed.
"No." Charlie said as a portal to heaven opened. She turned at the sound of the portal opening then to her son by the arm and led him through the portal.

As soon as they got through the portal Devlin did a full 180. From whining and yelling to hiding behind his mom and being completely silent. St. Patrick greeted them and opened the pearly gates. When Charlie saw him she was reminded of when they first met. He was really really nervous, but now he was a lot calmer. At first St. Patrick didn't even notice Devlin but when he did he flew towards him to have a better look.
"Hi there! Never seen you around are you new?" He asked still not having a good look at Devlin.
Charlie pushed him out from behind her back and introduced him as her son. St. Patrick's eyes went wide for a second. He recognized this boy. He met him before. At the very same spot they are standing on.
"Hey, I think we've met before. You're that kid that-" St. Patrick stopped himself. He isn't allowed to speak about it.
"You've met?" Asked Charlie.
"Yeah- we- uh- we met when he was sent to earth I saw him as a baby." St. Patrick lied.
"Oh, well we must be on our way." This subject was sensitive to her and Devlin. St. Patrick nodded and moved out of the way so they could pass.

As they were walking through heaven Devlin couldn't help but "aw". Even though he has seen all of this before on earth, here it was just... better. More fun. The winners were all smiling and doing fun stuff: like playing games and eating delicious looking food and flying around with their wings.

He was still in aw when they came to a giant skyscraper looking yellow, blue and white building. Charlie knocked and a second later the gigantic doors opened and they walked in. As they walked the marble floors every step could be heard. Devlin was amazed by all of this but no one knew her was there. They didn't notice him at all and let me tell you with how he was looking around it and the way he looks it is hard not to see him. The reason why no one seemed to notice him was because every time he saw someone he would immediately hide behind his mom and hold on to her as strong as possible. Especially men. They scared him.

At the end of the hall was a big two sided door jeweled with marbles and gold. Right next to the doors was a small normal sized doorway leading to what looked like a waiting room.
"Dev, can you go in there and wait for me." She asked pointing to the room.
"Why? Can't I go in there with you?" He proposed in a whisper silent like the wind. Charlie turned around and bend down to his eye level.
"It's an adult meeting plus there will be many people there and the waiting room is empty, you'll be alone there." She said putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Are you sure I'll be alone." he asked hesitantly.
"Yes." Charlie answered with confidence. As much as hesitant Devlin was he went in and set down on a chair at the very corner so that you could only see him when you enter the room.

Devlin spent his first moments in there looking around. The room wasn't that impressive. Well it was but after seeing all of the things he did there it was nothing special. The walls were white and the furniture was white with baby blue cushions and gold legs. The floors were 'like all in the building' marble.

After about 2 minutes he heard voices outside and his behind the chair he was sitting on in fear. After a small conversation which he couldn't really make out because he was too far to pick up everything one of the voices went into the meeting room and the other went into the waiting room.
As the what he now knew was a boy entered he was a bit stunned to say the least. He saw angels before but... there was just something about this one that made him feel... weird. His insides sort of twisted. Before realizing he revealed himself to the young angel.
"H-hi." Devlin greeted the angel looking down at the floor. The white haired angel looked surprised to see someone else there.
"Hi, I'm Angelo!" He introduced himself excitedly.
"Devlin. Nice to meet you." Devlin whispered still looking at the floor. Angelo looked Devlin up and down.
"I don't wanna be mean but what are you? You aren't from heaven right?" Angelo  assumed.
"You're right. I'm from hell." Devlin told the angel and as those words left his mouth Angelo's eyes left their sockets.
"Y-You're from hell? Then what are you doing here?" Angel asked his voice bursting from curiosity.
"My mom is having a meeting with the heavenly court and she had to bring me." He said.
"So you're a demon named Devlin." The blue eyed angel said provokingly trying to keep the conversation going.
"Says the angel named Angelo." He responded with a grin. They both chuckled at their ironic names and continued talking. Angelo told him he is a seraphim in training how will soon be in the court room with the others and make the big decisions and Devlin told him about the life in his mom's hotel and it's purpose. Both the boys were amazed at each other's lives and Angelo really loved the idea of rehabilitating sinners. Devlin never mentioned the exterminations. Why? He doesn't know either, he just didn't.

The boys were having a bunch of fun when the meeting ended and Charlie came out the room calling Devlin's name. Angelo and Devlin quickly but sadly said goodbye hoping to see each other again as Devlin came out the room and went to his mom. A portal soon opened and they went in.

Back at the hotel Devlin was in his room thinking about the angel he met. He was always kept to himself and never talked much but with Angelo. It was like he was a different person, he just found it so easy to talk with him and connect. And Then... he felt it... butterflies in his stomach, his cheeks red. Devlin couldn't wait to see Angelo again.
