(Picture is who I imagined Opal to look like. FYI)

It's the next day and I wake up next to Opal who looks like she got up and washed her face at some point during the night. She still looks like there's a war in her head as she sleeps. She moves towards me, cuddling against me, with her eyebrows furrowed like she's having a nightmare.

"Opal. Baby wake up." I shake her awake. She wakes up, and looks at me. "Thank you." She mumbles, a tear running down her face. "Want to talk about it?" I ask as she gets up. "No." She snaps at me, leaving to take a shower. I wish she'd hurry up and be over it but I get it, she just needs more time.

I go out to the living room where Eli was asleep on the couch. I wake him up so I can sit and think. Eli is staring at me, probably wondering why I haven't said anything but I don't really feel like talking. He eventually looks away, looking to his phone, smiling at whoever texted.

"Girlfriend?" I decide to ask, curiosity killing me. "Hopefully, soon." He smiles. "Ah. Don't be friends to long or she'll friend zone you." I tell him. "Yeah, I know. We've been friends for about a week, I'm going to ask her out soon." He smiles typing a message to the girl. "What's she like?" I wonder. "She has light pink hair and a, I think she called it a septum piercing? I don't know, but she likes video games, like me and music quite a bit." He tells me, thinking back. "She sounds perfect for you. Maybe she'll even get you to try an instrument." I smile, teasing him for his lack of virtuosity.

"Yeah, yeah, maybe." He laughes as Opal comes in, "Hey Babe, feeling better?" I ask her. She looks tired. "No." She mumbles, sitting on my lap and curling up against my chest. Eli tries not to stare at Opal but he fails glancing away when he catches himself staring. I hold her, hoping it will make her feel better. What else am I to do?

Two days later, Opal is mostly better, talking more about herself, able to hear things about her parents without breaking down. She even told me how the died, I don't blame her for not taking it well, it's a horrible way to lose them. They were shot and killed during a house robbery while all three of the kids were at school.

Now, we were at a club, since Penelope and Chris wanted all four of us to hang out. I didn't mind coming this time. It got Opal out of the house and I could use some time out with her. Everyone dressed nicely, Opal in a short black dress that she looked even more sexy in, Penelope in a red corset matched with black jeans, and us boys in dress clothes.

"Want to dance?" Opal asks me. "I'm probably not very good but sure." I talk over the people around us as she takes my hand leading me to the dance floor. As we walked up I watched the other guy's to see what I'm supposed to do. Most were just moving to the beat, nothing particularly hard, touching their dates when possible. I can do this.

I move around Opal as she dances around, partially on me. It was fun, listening to music and messing around with her, but the people around us were making me claustrophobic. "Hey, want a drink?" I ask her as she wraps her arms around me, "No, I don't really drink. But if you want to stop dancing we can." She smiles. "Can we?" I ask as she nods, leading me over to a couch in the corner of the club.

"Where do you think Pen and Chris are?" I ask her. "Two choices possible; somewhere on the dance floor or in the bathroom." She laughes, knowing her sister. I run my fingers over her hip as I lean in to kiss her. We are hidden in the dark corner of this club but I feel at home with her here.

As we kissed, I pulled her on to my lap, holding her I always do. No more than two minutes later, Pen walks up with Chris in tow. "I told you, dark creepy corners are their thing." She smiled at us, as I broke away from the kiss. "What do you want Penelope?" Opal asks.

"Ooh. Someone's bitchy. Was he getting somewhere?" She teases. "Leave." Opal demands, redirecting her attention to my lips. While she kissed me, she took dominance, straddling my lap, causing her dress to push up to the point it barely covered what needed to be covered. "Hmm. This is new." I say against her lips as she pulled on my poorly straightned hair. "Yeah. I feel sexy tonight." She smiles kissing my neck.

"Get a room." A guy said from a few feet away. "Maybe later, thanks for the suggestion." Opal says, pulling a Gerard Way sass queen moment, I couldn't help but chuckle at her attitude. "What?" She whispers in my ear. "I knew you had ass but never knew you had sass." I joke, kissing her jaw.

Probably close to an hour later, Opal breaks away from our kiss and whispers in my ear, "Want to get out of here?" I nod and follow her out.
