Chapter 3
The Door opened fractionally and I knew that was my sign to enter. Blake leaned against the door, his smug face full of self-confidence and a certain cocki-ness. Gosh I hate him.
“What up Ashton.” He smirked. Grr…
“Hiddop Idiot.” I told him. In case you don’t understand Hiddop is my word for ‘Whatev’
He sniggered. “I will never get used to you saying that.” I pushed straight past him, hands swinging in my pockets.
“Where are Cody and Dylan?” I asked, hanging around in the living room with my back to him.
“Wait, I’ll get them.” He began, holding up a hand. He then jogged other to my side and lifted his head. “CODY! DYLAN! ASHLEY’S HERE!”
I sighed. There was a loud crash and thump from upstairs. I could hear them coming. Uh-oh.
My plan didn’t go this far! What was I going to do! I tell them I have to move. How? Can I bear never seeing them again? What can I do?
Why is it the Important things that are always Hard?
“Ashley!” Cody cheered, flinging himself at me and holding tightly on. Aaaww..
“Hey Ash.” Dylan called to me, leaning against a wall. I pulled Cody away from me, something I wouldn’t normally do, which they seemed to be able to sense.
“What’s wrong?” They chorused. They CHORUSED. I mean, how could anyone not love them?!
“Listen Guys, I really need to tell you something. You Know, Something Important.” My voice came out my Impression on steady.
“You’re Dating BLAKE!” He shouted, pointing to the fact that Blake was right next to me. Blake chuckled, and left.
“First, ew. Second, No that’s utterly idiotic and bogus and not it.” I told him, taking In a quick breath. What to say, what to say…
“So, what’s up?” Cody beamed brightly, his eyes twinkling and shutting and shining.
“I’m moving.”
“Like, close?” Dylan hoped. I sighed heavily.
“To A Different country.”
Silence reigned for minutes, but it felt to hours. Each second brought me away from this nightmare and into a brand-new one. My Heart was Crying. I couldn’t bear this.
“Oh.” Were the first words spoken. Dylan looked down, his expression concealed, whereas Cody’s hadn’t changed from the initial shock. To my surprise, he was the first to speak.
“Why? Why would you want to move?”
“I don’t!” I protested. How could he suggest such a thing? Doesn’t he know how much I love him! “You know I love you.” I added in a softer tone.
“So we’re the problem? Is that it?” Cody pressed. I could feel all the way it was going down, like I was falling too. Like as this conversation turned for the worst, so did I.
“No!”
“Then What.” Cody demanded. I took in a deep breath.
“I can’t tell you.” There’s not a chance in hell I’m telling them I’m Neutral. It’s just…… Embarrassing.
