Hannah wakes up the next morning with a bittersweet feeling. It's Christmas Day, and not only does she have to spend it away from her family, but her family has to do the same. Are they upset, or are they secretly happy about it?

The idea of being away from her parents on this day really hurts her, and all she wants to do is cry. However, she can't show any emotion while in the suicide watch, so she holds it in.

Kelsey opens the door with a big smile and waves at Hannah, holding her tray of medicine and breakfast. She sets it on Hannah's nightstand.

"Good morning! Merry Christmas," She beams.

"Thank you..." Hannah says quietly, rubbing her eyes as she sits up.

She sighs as she puts her pill in her mouth and grabs her plastic cup of orange juice. The breakfast today is cinnamon waffles and eggs, which Hannah is excited about. She hasn't been eating much due to not liking the food choices over the past week, so having something she enjoys lifts her mood a little.

After breakfast, Hannah is taken out of the suicide watch and into the activities hall, where it appears there is an arts and crafts event going on.

Lauren runs up and gives Hannah a big hug. "Merry Christmas! We are getting ready to make some snow globes, honey. Go on and sit with your friends."

Hannah fidgets with her hands as she makes her way across the hall to a table near the back of the room, where her friends are sitting.

"Hey!" They all wave excitedly.

"Hi." Hannah says as she sits down.

Bella beams. "We're waiting for Lauren to come give us our snow globe stuff. I'm really excited."

"That sounds cool."

Alice smiles slightly at Hannah, and for some reason, she appears to be nervous. Hannah has no idea why—she's never seemed to be the nervous type. Hannah smiles back, wanting her to feel comfortable. She figures maybe it's just the holiday that's making Alice upset.

"Alice." Hannah begins. "Guess what?"

"Mm?" Alice responds, appearing tired as she leans her face on her hand.

"Kelsey in the suicide watch told me that maybe I'll get out within this week."

"Oh, that's great." Katrina cuts in before Alice can respond. "Everybody is ready to have you back. It's not the same doing activities and meals without you."

Hannah nods. "I'm doing my best."

"I'm glad."

Chelsea cuts in. "So, how are you holding up there? Must be scary to be in the suicide watch."

Hannah's face falls as she thinks about how true that is–it's terrifying to be all alone in a dark room not knowing when a nurse is going to come visit you. There isn't even a clock in the room so there's no way of knowing how far the day has gone.

Hannah regrets ever hurting herself in the first place–she realizes now she overreacted and she's spent every day since then trying to prove to everybody that she's not a danger to herself or others. Still, the nurses are on high alert, and it's taking a lot of convincing to get them to change their minds.

"Uh." Hannah sighs. "It's okay. I'll be out soon, I think."

"Good. I'll be so happy once you're out." Chelsea beams, clapping her hands together. "Then we'll all be a team again!"

"You were all a team way before you met me..."

"Yeah, but you've made the dorm more fun."

Hannah smiles at that–she's felt like an intruder the whole time she's lived at the home. Hearing that she's really wanted makes her feel warm and fuzzy inside. It's an unfamiliar feeling–being wanted, liked. She wants to keep feeling it for as long as she can.
