Emma woke up to her alarm clock and got ready for the day

Pete was in the kitchen getting, two month old Vicky bottle ready and drinking his coffee

Morning daddy Emma said and gave Pete a kiss on his cheek

Morning sweetie he said

She grabbed an apple and got her shoes on

Hey, em? Pete said and leaned on the couch in the living room

Yeah? She said as she tied her shoe

Are you busy this weekend? He asked and held Vicky

No, why?

I have some meetings to go to and I'm really busy and I was wondering if you can watch Vicky? He asked

I will, don't worry daddy she will be in good hands Emma said and placed another kiss on Pete's cheek

Then she got to school and she was walking with her friend Lori

So, did you get that essay done for Mr Vernon? Lori asked as she was talking to Emma

I'm almost done with it she said

Then Emma went to her locker

Hey Emma a popular cheerleader said named Isabella yelled

Can I help you? She asked

I heard you were talking about me she said and pushed Emma's books on the floor

I wasn't she said

Well, I going to tell you something, Mitchell, your overweight she said

Then Emma looked at her then went to class

Then when she got home and she went to her room and started to break down into tears

Then Pete came upstairs to her room

Hey honey, dinner ready he said

I'm not hungry she said

You sure, it's your favorite he said

I'm sure

Hey, are you okay he said

I'm fine she said

You sure

I SAID I'M FINE she yelled to him

Just leave me alone she said

Then he sat on her bed with her

Is there something you're telling me? he asked Emma

She signed

There this girl at my school and she said I was talking trash about her and I wasn't and she called overweight and no boy will love me she said and had tears forming into her eyes

Hey, you are not overweight, and boys will love you baby he said to her

Then he pulled her into a hug and Emma broke down crying and sobbed on his chest

Just let it out babe he said and rubbed her back

Then she moved her face to his neck and cried there

Then he kissed her head

Then he let go and whipped her tears

Now how about you go eat something he said

She nodded and went downstairs

There was tear stains on Pete's black shirt

Then after they ate she got into the shower and got ready for bed

Then Pete came in

Can you promise me something baby he said and brushed a bit of her hair with his fingers

She nodded

Don't ever starve yourself he said

She nodded and held out her pinky

Then he wrapped his pinky around hers

Then he kissed her cheek

Emma laughed and smiled

Dad, stop Emma said  laughing as he was still kissed her cheek

Then he stopped and smiled

Then he turned off her lights and she got under her blanket and kissed the picture of her mom and fell asleep
