Part 12. Missing you

Lando's POV

-It feels good to be back, huh? - Max said walking down the plane

-Yeah...it feels good - I said without excitement, it has been a couple of rough days for me

We entered the car that was driving us back to our places, it felt nice to have a couple of days off before the next race but it was the first time I was in Monaco without Y/n, I knew she has been trying to reach out to me and I have been so close to answer or call her and tell her how much I missed her but every time I try, images of her and Carlos come to my mind thinking the worst or wondering if she cheated on me but I couldn't lie to myself I loved her way too much.

I grabbed my phone and I started to look into picture of us when we were together and happy

-Have you talked to Y/n? - Max said when he noticed I was looking at pictures of her

-No and I don't see the point in that - I said locking my phone - She has texted me a few times but I'm not in the mood to answer

-I think you need to talk to her - he said looking my way - you love her

-I do but she never mentioned she left with Carlos that night and that she stayed in his room - I said looking down - I think something happened between them

-I understand your point but I don't think something happened - Max knew Y/n and Carlos too well - Y/n loves you, she will never cheat on you and Carlos is your friend

-He is my friend but why keep it a secret?

-Look, you will never know if you don't talk to her - Max was right but I just couldn't - you love her and you miss her

-Yes I love her and I miss her but I'm not calling her - Maybe I was being too proud but I was staying strong in my decision of staying away - It is better that way

We arrived to Max place and I helped him to get his things out of the car

-I have to go but If I was you I'll call her - Max said before leaving

-I will think about it - I said and waved him goodbye

The car took me back to my place and Max's words were all over my head and now the thoughts of Y/n were stronger so I looked into my hand and I was wearing the bracelet she gave me for Christmas

-I miss you so much - I said looking into the bracelet

I arrived to my place and put my things inside, I walked in and it looked so empty but at the same time full of memories with Y/n, Max was right I missed her and I needed to talk to her to fix things so I sat down in my sofa thinking and thinking if I should call her then finally grabbed my phone and someone was ringing at my door so I walked to the door hoping to see Y/n standing there.

I opened the door and it was someone I was definitely not expecting

-Lando! Hey - she said hugging me

-Magui, hey - I said a little bit confused - what are you doing here?

-I had some work in Monaco and I came to visit you

Magui was a girl I dated a few times in the past, of course before Y/n and the moment I met her I ended things with Magui

-I'm sorry I came unexpected but I knew you were back in Monaco and I wanted to say hi

-Don't worry, yes I just arrived, please come in

-I hope Y/n does not bother I'm here - Magui said while walking inside my apartment

-She is not here - I said making a pause - we broke up

-What? - Magui was surprised - I'm sorry

-Yeah, no worries

-We should go out for dinner, what do you think?

-Sure, let me get ready and we can go

I jumped in the shower and I got ready, I knew people will see me with her but I didn't care I'm single now and I can go out with whoever I want.

-Ready? - I asked Magui and she smiled
