Jaxons POV

After I left emelias house, I couldn't stop thinking about what she said. I'm wondering what happened that she couldn't tell me. I got back home and the boys were sitting on the couch "hey, where were you?" Landon asked "just went on a walk" "yeah right, you haven't been on a walk since you were 12" Andrew said "well I needed to clear my head" "more like a walk from our house to emelias" Andrew said and Landon looked back at me smirking "shut up Andrew" "no Andrews right, there's definitely something going on between you two" "it's nothing" "you just met and you're already catching feelings?!" Andrew said concerned "I never said that" "Jaxon, c'mon... We've known you for like ever, we can tell when someone has your heart ..and you're clearly in love with her" "I am not!" "Jaxon just say it" "no! I promised myself I wouldn't fall in love again" "listen ..what Alayna did wasn't your fault, she already had problems that you couldn't fix" "I could e tried, I couldve been a better boyfriend and fought harder, it's my damn fault she suicided" "Jaxon... Nobody blames you" Landon said, worried. "I can't risk falling in love again, cause I was so horrible to made her kill herself" "no you didn't!" "Landon ..what if Emelia hates me, what if I drive her away" "oh my God Jaxon... YOU'RE IN LOVE WITH HER!! Stop worrying over something that's not gonna happen" "idk" "answer this ...did you kiss her?" "...." I stayed quiet,I couldn't answer or they'd know and I'd be dead. "Jaxon" "alright fine ..yes we did ..and yes I admit I've never felt this way for nobody" "then why hate for Alayna" "because I loved her, I cared for her Andrew, and she still killed herself" "you might've loved her ...but you never were IN love with her" "Andrews right, the only one who can say that you're in love with Emelia,is you. But you can't be in love with her until you put down that baggage of Alayna and move on. You gotta give yourself love again" I just sighed "idk, and plus Emelia has something from her past she's hiding too so ...maybe things are just wrong right now" "well then, strictly be friends and let shit happen on its own" "but i cant lose her" landon sighed "idk jaxon ..just move on from alayna and give this girl a shot, you're never gonna live if you keep hiding" I couldn't take it ..I went upstairs and started punching my bag. Shortly after I was dripping sweat, I took a cold shower then went to bed.

The next day

Emelias pov

I woke up and got in the shower. I couldn't stop thinking about what I'm gonna tell Jaxon now. He's definitely gonna wonder what I was talking about.

Eventually I got out of the shower and got dressed. Shortly after someone came knocking on my door. I walked over and opened it ..to see Jaxon standing there "Jaxon what do you want?" "To talk about last night" "Jaxon we gotta get to school, we don't have time for this" "please Emelia" "I'm sorry, but I can't tell you" i walked past jaxon and walked to school. Once I got to school, I saw Sofia and Sydney standing by the front door "hey, we were wondering if you'd show" Landon said "why wouldn't I?" I replied "well after everything that happened with Jaxon, we thought you would skip so you wouldn't have to see him" "I can't skip school" "true" Landon then looked like, oh god. Just then Jaxon walked over "hey guys, whats up" Landon and Andrew had a look on their face like something was awkward between them. Jaxon tried to say hi to me but I couldn't make eye contact with him. We all stood there in awkwardness "I think we should get to class" "me too" both me and Jaxon scurried away and the girls kept talking.

My first class was History. I walked in and sat down, shortly after two boys that looked similar to Jaxon walked in. I thought to myself, oh no. They sat one row behind me.

My next class was art. I thought for sure if lose those boys, when one of them was in my art class. This started getting strange, I can't get rid of them.

After art came math, and luckily neither of those boys were in my class.

Finally.. dance. The best class of all, I walked in and met up with Sofia and Sydney "you guys, they were two boys in like three of my classes that look exactly like Jaxon" "I think you're going crazy, you just like Jaxon that's why" Sydney said "no, like they did and they didn't" "uhhuh ok" Sofia giggled. Just then the boys walked in, Jaxon looked excited and ran over "Emelia can I talk to you" "what?" "I need to talk to you" Landon and Andrew met up with the girls, and immediately started flirting. Me and Jaxon walked over to a corner "what Jaxon?" "Why won't you return my calls" "I can't face you, I can't take all the questions you're gonna ask" "how do you know what I'm gonna ask" "because" "Emelia, I just wanna get to know you" "Jaxon ..after what's happened, I can't get emotionally close to someone, I can't lose again" i started to walk away when Jaxon grabbed my wrist and pulled me to him "I'm not letting you walk away" he said, with one arm around my back, holding me close to him. "Jaxon.. I can't" "just tell me why?" "No" "yes" "no Jaxon" "yes!" "No! I can't get close to someone because I know they're just gonna-" he immediately placed his lips on mine, quickly shutting me up but also taking the kiss. Eventually I kissed back and then pulled away "see that's the problem, we get close then you'll leave"
