"Thanks for that," I tell the student who got us out of class. "That teacher is really starting to get on my nerves. Now, uh, why exactly are we following you?"
They continues leading us down the hallway in silence.
"Uh, hello?" Jason asks. "Did you hear him?"
They once again ignores us.
"Fuuuuckkkk," I mutter.
"Language, di Angelo," Percy mutters back. "Don't want to make a bad first impression."
"Iam gravis est?" I ask Jason. "Scit loquor sicut quattuor linguis?"
"Not funny," Percy sighs. The student we're following - who has a white hoodie on so I can't see their face - laughs. "So, uh, back to his question, who the fuck are you and where are you taking us? We can easily turn back around if you don't tell us where we're going."
In response they simply flip us off and continue walking.
"Come on, guys," Jason mutters, "let's just go back to class." He turns around to leave but trips and faceplants into the floor.
The student laughs again and mutters "Absoluto idiota. ¿Realmente pensó que iba a dejarlo ir?"
What language is that? I wonder. Maybe Spanish?
"I feel like I know you from somewhere . . ." Somebody mutters - it could be Percy or Jason, but in all honesty I wasn't paying attention. I was too focused on the student . . .
"Helloooo? Earth to Nico!" Percy waves his hand in front of my face, but I don't acknowledge him. Something about this student . . .
There's soft singing echoing around the halls. Either Percy and Jason - who is still on the floor - can't hear it, or they've chosen not to acknowledge it.
Wait, I think I know where that voice is from. But surely it isn't. Nope nope nope. It couldn't be. No way.
