2 years later...
Today was the day. She walked around the room nervously. During the past 2 years her and Iroh had grown close.
Some would say marriage must start with a good friendship. But what they shared was far more than friendship.
Their wedding was held North to pay respect to her tribe. Since she would soon become part of the Fire Nation Royal Family. It felt as if it was a last goodbye.
Not literally. She just won't be known just as the Princess of the North. Now she'll also be known as the Crown Prince's wife and life time partner.
Then her mother came in gasping. "Adira! Why are you not in your dress?!" She snaps her fingers and her make up team storm into the room.
They took Adira to the changing room and got her wedding dress on. When she was done she looked at the mirror to see how she looked.
She smiled at herself. Her mother was known for being a renowned fashion designer and icon in Republic City. But she herself had never been to big with looks, unless she had to dress to impress.
It wasn't a traditional dress, but her mother insisted. She was one of the sponsors, and she even designed the dress.
Adira was just happy for the day. She was getting married to her dearest and closest friend. Her entire family was there, except for her uncle Tonraq.
The only ones invited to the ceremony were their close faily and friends.
She was then Led to a chair in front of a vanity. They put light make up on her. Finishing her look off with a simple half up half down hairstyle. They added a few gems on her hair and she was done.
She sighed her hands shaking. Her mother took a hold of them and gave them a tight squeeze. "You're going to do great, my dear" She whispers before kissing her daughter's head.
Lastly her mother placed a golden necklace around her neck. Her betrothal necklace from Iroh. Instead of the traditional carved necklace of the Water Tribe he made her's out of the purest gold.
He trained with a black smith, learning how to bend and shape the gold. He molded it from his own fire. Then presented it to her on her 15th birthday.
It was the Sun and Moon. A symbol of their unity and companionship. To represent their cultures.
She smiled at the memory. Then she heard the door open. It was her father. He walked up to her giving her a hug.
"It's time" He said in a sad yet proud voice. She nodded tears forming in her eyes. Her father quickly wipes them away. "Don't cry sweetie, you'll ruin your makeup" He jokes making her chuckle.
Then he offered her his hand, and she accepted it smiling.

She was now about to walk down the aisle, a veil hiding her face. Then her and her father started walking towards the altar.
She looked at Iroh who was dressed in a red suit that had many intricate detailed of what looked to be dragons.
He looked at her with admiration in his eyes. His mother and father stood behind him smiling at the two.
When she arrived at the altar her father let her go before going to her mother's side behind her.
She stands in front of Iroh admiring him as the officiant starts his speech.
"Dearly beloved we are gathered here today in the names of the ancient spirits to witness and celebrate the union of Prince Iroh II of the Fire Nation and Princess Adira of the Water Tribe. Marriage is a sacred covenant, a life long commitment. It is a union founded on love, trust, and fidelity"
"Now Princess, repeat after me" He says.
"Iroh, I promise to cherish you always"
"Iroh, I promis to cherish you always"
"To honor and sustainable you, in sickness and in health"
"To honor and sustain you, in sickness and in health"
"In poverty and in wealth, and to be true to you in all things until death do us part"
"In poverty and in wealth, and to be true to you in all things until death do us part"
"Now my Prince, repeat after me"
"Adira, I promise to cherish you always"
"Adira, I promise to cherish you always"
"To honor and sustain you, in sickness and in health"
"To honor and sustain you in sickness and in health"
"In poverty and in wealth, and to be true to you in all things until death do us part"
"In poverty and in wealth, and to be true to you in all things until death do us part"
Then there was a moment of silence before the officiant continued on to the Ring exchange.
"With this ring I, Adira, take you, Iroh, to be no other than yourself. Loving what I know of you, and trusting what I do not yet know, I will respect your integrity and have faith in your abiding love for me, through all our years, and in all that life may bring us"
Then she slips the ring on to his finger.
"With this ring I, Iroh, take you, Adira, to be no other than yourself. Loving what I know of you, and trusting what I do not yet know, I will respect your integrity and have faith in your abiding love for me, through all our years, and in all that life may bring us"
With that he slips the ring on to her finger. Smiling at it. Adira blushed from under the veil.
Then comes the most long awaited moments. The pronouncement.
The officiant smiles at the two royals. "By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife"
Iroh smiles looking at me before he gently lifts his hands to take my veil off. He stops breathing for a moment and Adira freezes. Was something wrong with her hair or her face?
Then he touches her cheek, he leans down and whispers to her. "You look absolutely beautiful, a goddess in my eyes" With that he holds her by her waist and she hugs his neck.
Then they kiss. That was that, what's don is done. Now they are bound to each other for the rest of their lives.
