A Trip to the Tower

Peter's POV

Soon it was morning and we had to go to the terrace today in the evening during sunset. I wanted to spend some time with MJ during the terrace tour. We didn't get much time to spend on this trip. So, it was a special day for me. I got ready and came out of my dorm. I met Ned and Betty, roaming around the halls. I had barely talked to Ned on this trip.

Peter- "Hey man. How's everything going?"

Ned- "Nothing. Just that we've not talked much during the trip."

Peter- "I know man. Just, so much happened in the past 2 days. And, well, we still have some time left!"

Ned- "Yeah man. Hey babe, do you mind if I go with Peter right now?"

Betty- "Not at all! I'll go with MJ."

Ned- "Cool!"

Ned and I go to the labs and start experimenting around.

Ned- "So, how's things with MJ?"

Peter- "Oh, great. Everyone got to know about us and yesterday, after the dinner I told my family too."

Ned- "Nice. I just feel a bit weird cause I don't get why you kept it hidden from ME."

Peter- "We didn't think it would work out. I was about to tell you anyways on this trip but it came out."

Ned- "STILL, YOU SHOULD'VE SAID SOMETHING!"

Peter- "ARE YOU MAD AT ME?"

Ned- "CAN'T I? KNOWING THAT MY BEST FRIEND HID SOMETHING FROM ME!"

Peter- "YOU KNOW I HAD MY REASONS!"

Ned- "I TELL YOU EVERY SINGLE THING! YOU'RE THE ONLY PERSON WHO HIDES STUFF! FIRST SPIDERMAN AND NOW THIS!!"

Peter- (tearing up a bit) "YOU KNOW ME! YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND! BUT MJ WASN'T COMFORTABLE WITH IT, HOW COULD I TELL ANYONE! I DIDN'T EVEN TELL DAD!"

Ned- (hugging Peter) "Oh god, I'm so stupid! Sorry, didn't mean to say that. It's just that I feel very distant now."

Peter- "You'll never be distant man. You're my GUY-IN-THE-CHAIR! How can I leave my team behind!"

We stayed in the hug for a while and then pulled apart.

Peter- (wiping the tears) "Hey, let's go! We need to meet Ava for the museum tour."

Ned- "How do you know we'll go to the museum?"

Peter- "DUH, BECAUSE I PLANNED THE TOUR!"

Ned- "Oh yeah, 'cause you're THE Tony Stark's son."

Peter- (laughing) "Oh, shut up!"

We came back to the reception and met Ava, ready for the tour.

Ava- "So, today we will visit the museum and then go to the terrace at sunset. Please follow me to the museum."

We went to the museum and spent some time. I already knew all the things there. Except one. THE SPIDERMAN SECTION! I was so thrilled to see it there that I immediately called Dad.

(Phone conversation)

Tony- "Hey Pete! Something wrong?"

Peter- "I JUST SAW THE SPIDEY SECTION!!! WHEN DID YOU DO THAT??"

Tony- "Eh, I've got my tricks."

We ended the call and I was still excited to see it. But then, Flash ruined my mood.

Flash- "Hey, Puny Parker, why are you so excited on the Spiderman section?"

Peter- "Nothing, I just didn't know that dad had put this up."

Flash- "Whatever!"

I just ignored him. After a while, we went for lunch and sat at a table. Then, the gym trio, Nat, Steve and Clint came and took a seat at our table.

Nat- "So, Pete. How's the trip so far?"

Peter- "As normal as it could be."

MJ- (rolling eyes) "We get to go to the terrace today!"

Clint- (laughing) "When? We'll crash the party!"

Peter- "Please don't!"

After eating lunch, the trio went back to their training while we waited for Ava to continue with the tour. All of us were excited as later, we got the chance to go to the terrace. The breathtaking sunset view was all we needed after the past few crazy days.

Hi guys! So, wanted this chapter to be a bit about Ned and Peter. I thought that there was not much content till now about them being best friends. Will upload the next chapter soon!

Also, Happy Holi to everyone in India! It is personally my favourite festival as it is the festival of colours. It is fun to play with colours and water with your friends. And the most important part, the sweets! I love them! Anyways, hope you all enjoy this festival to the fullest.
