TW: UNDERAGE DRINKING AND SUBSTANCE USE, TRAUMA MENTIONS

Saturday night finally arrived. After your sleep over with your friends, you spent all of your time finishing up what you had left with school and got to a point where you were now caught up with everyone else. Putting so much time into school, you've barely interacted with anyone other than a quick 'Sorry, I'm busy with school' text you would send in response to the group chat when everyone was planning a hang out. It was only two days since then, but you couldn't help but feel a little bad for excluding yourself. Now, you had all the time in the world to make it up to your friends. School was going to get a lot easier without piles of work and you even found a part time job at a restaurant as a waitress. You were hoping you wouldn't have to go into food service, but with bills to pay and being countlessly turned down from everyone else, you didn't have much of a choice. But as of right now, you don't have to worry about that.

Ash had come over to get ready for the party with you and told you to dress "casual". You didn't really know what she meant by that since you thought you always dress casually, so you just put on a pair of black editors-cut slacks with a red cropped band t-shirt along with your favorite pair of combat boots. It wasn't often you wore makeup other than mascara and some lip balm, so Ash helped you out with putting on some light eye makeup and a nice subtle tint on your lips.

"Dude, you look so cute, everyone is gonna be all over you." Ash beamed, happy with her work.

You cringe a bit at the statement. "It's not like I'm going to a party to hook up with someone." You laugh, turning your head to look in the mirror on your vanity. You smile and yourself and looked at your face from all angles. "But...I do feel pretty cute, you're very skilled with makeup."

"Thanks! I knew you would like it." She hummed in response. Ash herself had a pair of blue jeans with an off the shoulder lilac sweater with a pair of sneakers. You admire her for a bit before she snaps her fingers in front of your face, making you blink a few times.

"Hey, I'm talking to you."

"Huh? What did you say?"

She snorts, "I said, Larry, Sal, Todd, and Neil are waiting in the car for us. Are you ready to go?"

As those words slipped from her mouth, your anxiety went up tenfold. You weren't always partial to parties. Being around a huge group of intoxicated people wasn't really your forte. Though, you'd be going with friends this time, you couldn't help but feel at least a little nervous. "Uh, yeah I'm ready." you give her a fake smile.

"Great! Let's get going!"

You and Ash cram into the black SUV, Todd was the driver with Neil in the front passenger. Sal was in the back behind Todd and Larry...in the trunk.

"Finally, what took you guys so long?" Larry groaned.

"Shut it Lar, we were getting ready, we didn't think that you guys would actually be ready by the time Todd came to get us." Ash huffed, sitting on the right side of the car with you in the middle.

"They weren't." Todd hummed and shifted the gears into drive and started out on the road. "Well, Larry wasn't."

"It took Larry twenty minutes to find a clean t-shirt." Sal snorted, receiving a slap to the back of the head from the brunette in the trunk. "Ow."

"At least I didn't drop my eye down the sink." Larry smirked. In return Sal turned his head and gave Larry a masked glare.

"Sorry... you dropped what down the sink?" You ask, looking at Sal.

Sal turns his head towards you and sighs. "I have a prosthetic eye and while I was trying to put it in...it slipped...and fell down the drain. So now I'm stuck wearing one of my Halloween customs." he mumbled.
