"Voight" Eris says as picks her desk phone up on the first ring, Hanks head shoots up from the other side of the room "Coming" she says quickly, putting the phone down only meer seconds after it rang. Looking up to her Father with a pained look on her face as she redials for Simmons "We have another, grab Halstead and Rusek, lets go"
Eris and Hank don't exchange any words as they both grab their jackets and speed out of their office. The car journey is silent as they speed towards the new crime scene.
"Jay does this look familiar to you?" Eris asks, the first time she has addressed him directly on this case.
"Yeah it does, the 4th and 5th bodies were dropped round here" Jay says looking out the window as they come into McGuane park
"Fuck!" Eris shouts in the car before getting out "Was there a note?" she asks the first responding officers, they shake their heads
"Ok so no note, might not be our guys?" Jay says trying to bring her back
"Look at them Jay, do you think this isn't out guy?" Eris fighting back the rage as they stare two teenage girls, shot execution style kneeling in front of a tree, tied by their waists so stop them from falling. She turns to look at him with another pained look on a her face, not since that little girl has she had a case hit her so hard. " Ok, ok" She whispers to herself bringing herself back to the case "I want the press nowhere near here, as soon as we know who these girls are I want their parents in my office. So we rush the DNA now, I want this entire park searched with a fine tooth comb, I want a 10 mile wide radius search done now. These girls are still warm. This is guy is here" Everyone stands around looking at her "I SAID NOW" She yells.
"Ok Charlotte, hit me. What do you have?" Simmons asks the forensic pathologist
"Eris is right, these girls are warm, rigor mortis hasn't even set in yet. I'd say dead an hour, 2 tops. Shot execution style like the others,and urm" Charlotte pauses, looking around her to see who is present, She stands up and gets real close to Eris and Simmons "He had his fun first judging by the bodily fluid on the second one legs" Eris looks back to Charlotte, there is a rage burning deep in her eyes "Theres something else you should see something" Charlotte bring Eris to the side of Jane Doe 1, behind her in the tree is carved the initials JT
"How do we know she did this?" Eris asks
"Look at her fingertips, tree bark found underneath, nails broken down and her blood is in these carvings" Charlotte explains to her, Eris just nods walking away.
Back the office, Jay knocks on her door, he enters as Hank leaves.
"Did we get DNA back?" Eris asks as she reads over the crime scene notes trying to find any other similarities
"Urm nope, but the lab are working on it. How are you doing?" Jay asks expecting a snarky response back.
"Close the blinds" Eris says, Jay obliges as she puts down the paperwork and moves out from behind her desk "Do not think anymore into this ok?" Jay just nods, afraid of what she might do. Could be anything from a smile to smacking him.
Eris walks over to him, wrapping her arms around his waist and holding him tight. Jay holds her close, feeling her completely relax into him. They stand like this for a few minutes before Eris pulls away, looking up at him. She takes her hands and holds his face, her eyes staring deep into his before she stands up tall on her tiptoes and pulls him in for a kiss. It's a small kiss at first, but when she goes to pull away, Jay pulls her in closer, wrapping his arms around her waist holding her as close as he can possible do. Her hands get lost in his hair, for a moment she forgets everything, for a moment she forgets everything bad that has happened between, for a moment she lets her feelings come to the surface and fall in love with him all over again.
"Meet me at home" Eris says moving back to her desk, Jay still standing in the middle of her office in complete shock at what just happened between them.
"Eris" He says, she looks up from her desk "I love you forever" then he leaves
The team get let go around 10pm, the girls DNA was not a match for anything on file so they are running missing reports for anything that might match their description. Eris arrives at he apartment to find Jay plating up take out for them and her dogs running around the apartment.
"You came" Eris says as Jay embraces her, he caresses the back of her head as she relaxes into him.
"Always" Jay says as he kisses her head "Come on let's eat" Eris just looks up at him and nods. She is clearly exhausted from this case and from them fighting all the time.
"I need to take them out soon" Eris nods down to her black lab and corgi sitting at their feet hoping for some food to drop, she looks devastated at thought of going back out.
"I already took them out, don't worry. They are fed, You are fed, Lupin has been fed and her litter has been changed. You're good for the night" Jay sips on his beer. Eris softly laughs she has no energy.
"Can we go to bed?" Eris asks softly, her food all gone but her beer bottle still full.
"Yeah, Yeah we can" Jay smirks, he goes to pick up plates but Eris stops him, she takes his hand in hers and leads him to bed.
