"Mom, I am early today. I know when to wake up," you enter into the store while talking over phone with your mom. The cashier smiles and greets you. You bow a little in gesture.

"I know you really well. You can be also clumsy on important events," your mom says.

You groans a little as you walk further into the store. "Mom... I have grown up now," you whine like a little kid.

"Even when you will be in your sixties, you will be still my baby."

"Ayy... Mom, I love you."

"Alright. Don't need to be so clingy." You giggle as you open the door of ice-cream freezer. "Did you get ice-cream?"

"Searching for it." You hum while raking your eyes through the whole freezer for your favourite ice-cream. Your eyes lit up when you catch the sight of your favourite mochi ice-cream which is only one packet available. "Found it."

You stretch your hand to take your desired thing, but before that another hand picks that up. You look up to see a boy holding the ice-cream who is also looking at you.

He looks down at the ice-cream and then looks at you, before forwarding the container towards you. "You can have it," he simply says it.

But...

You are frozen on your spot, looking at him. Your mouth is a little open, while your phone is still near your ear, ignoring your mother's word.

"Excuse me."

You come out of your trance hearing his cold yet angelic voice. He again gestures towards the packet of ice-cream. As you take it from his hand, he simply walks passing by you. You look at his back going towards the cashier section. You can't believe you are seeing him after all these years.

"KIM Y/N!!!"

You flinch in your place hearing your mother's voice. "Y-yes mom."

"Where have you been? I was calling you from quite a long time."

"Mom!!!" you squeal in excitement, taking his attention. So you turn back after apologizing him, and calm yourself down. "Mom, I found your long lost son-in-law."

"You mean the dumpling boy."

You clicks your tongue in disapproval. "Mom, he has a name."

"Yeah, but he looks like dumpling... yet cute."

"I know." You look back to see him checking out his items he bought. "But he looks slim and more mature now. Mom, I can't believe I am seeing him. I am not going to run away this time."

"Idiot, before doing something, make sure he is single."

"You are right. I will go to him. Talk to you later. Bye mom, love ya."

"Love you too."

You turn around with a smile on your face, but that smile instantly falls down when you doesn't see him. You come out of the store and look around, but there is no him.

"He left?" you sigh in disappointment, but then your mood lifts up itself while looking at the ice-cream packet. "At least, you are in this town. I will find you, Mochi."

Time skip

"Are you ready for your first day, Y/n?" the girl kindly asks you while smiling.

You nod your head, and smiles back. "I am determined to do well in my work."

The girl chuckles and pats your shoulder. "Keep up the enthusiasm."
