Chapter 7

Xiao Zhan looked at his phone and sighed. It's been four days since he went out with Yibo but the other didn't message him even for once after that night.

He pouted and frowned, "If you don't want to talk then I will also not text you hmph." He kept the phone back in the bag and concentrated towards whatever the professor was teaching.

Jiyang was confused seeing a stressed Zhan. He leaned towards him and whispered, "What are you mumbling?"

"Nothing I am fine." Zhan whispered back.

"You are coming to Sichuan right? I am excited, only 3 days left."

"Mm" zhan smiled lightly and looked down. Yibo was not even talking to him, maybe he was busy, but still he was afraid to be left alone on the trip. Also he hasn't talked to his brother about going to sichuan. What if he refused, this might be only his last chance to have some fun, and he was afraid to let it go. Maybe Yibo didn't like his company, why would him, he is young and useless whereas Yibo is smarter and a busy person like his Yang Ge.

It was night and today the whole Xiao family was watching a movie together. Zhan was checking his phone again and again. He was getting excited every time his phone vibrated only to get disappointed later. Li Qin who noticed him asked, "What happened Zhan? You seem sad."

"No jie I am okay."

Yang also looked at him suspiciously but didn't say anything. He also noticed him checking his phone every now and then when they were having dinner. He noticed that Zhan didn't even eat properly. He sighed and decided not to push him too much but still assured him, "You know right, you can tell me if something is bothering you."

"No Ge I am fine." Zhan smiled genuinely.

Soon everyone was immersed in the movie again, and Cheng Xiao shifted towards Zhan and whispered, "Hey Zhan, are you in love?"

"Huh? Love?" He frowned.

"Mn. I used to wait for Xukai's texts before he proposed to me. I thought maybe you grew up too." She laughed.

"I will kill you." Zhan stood up and went inside his room to sleep.

"What's with her?" He mumbled and fell asleep.

The next day he was sitting in the cafeteria with Jiyang and Cheng. Jiyang was happily eating his food and was chatting with his husband while giggling from time to time. Cheng was on a video call with Xukai.

He tried to eat but was not able to. He was feeling lonely and frustrated for the first time. He never felt like this. He took out his phone and called Yibo without any second thoughts.

Yibo didn't answer the call. His eyes got teary and he stood up excusing himself. He went towards the garden and sat at a bench. If Yibo didn't want to befriend him then why did he even invite him for dinner.

His phone buzzed after a few minutes and he gasped when Yibo's name flashed on the screen. He thought for some time if he should answer or not, and the call dropped off. He decided to let it go, but his phone buzzed again. He didn't pick up this time too and Yibo called again for the third time.

This time he answered the call but didn't say anything. Yibo, on the other side spoke, "Hello, Zhan?"

"Mn." He hummed.

"How are you?" Yibo initiated.

"I am fine. How is gege?" Zhan asked in a cracked voice.

"I am fine too. But what happened? You don't seem okay." Yibo asked in concern.
