Chapter 8

Xiao Zhan gulped before knocking at the door of Yang's home office. After hearing a faint 'come in', he gathered his courage and went inside.

Their parents were out at work and Cheng Xiao was at the college. Zhan took off because he had no important class that day. He looked at his brother who was working on his laptop. He tried to speak but he felt tongue tied due to anxiety.

Still immersed in his work, Xiao Yang asked, "Do you need anything Zhan?"

Zhan shook his head, "I will come later gege." He wheeled around and was about to walk away when Yang stopped him, "Tell me what it is?"

Zhan turned and played with his fingers, "Ge, I want to go to Sichuan for a trip!"

Xiao Yang remained silent and halted his work. He leaned back on his chair, "To Sichuan?"

"Mn. Jiyang is celebrating his wedding anniversary and wants me to come along!"

"If you wanna go anywhere, we will take you with us. You are not going there alone!" Yang stated in a cold voice. He continued, "You can go back to your room. Close the door before leaving." Sitting straight, he resumed his work. Though he was feeling agitated but he tried to control himself.

Zhan's heart broke, "G-ge p-please let me go. I wanna go."

Yang didn't answer.

Zhan frowned, "Gege, I am asking for one thing. Please, it's only a two day trip. Jiyang is there with me."

Yang gritted his teeth, "Is Sichuan in the neighbourhood? What will we do if something happens? Go to your room, right now!"

Xiao Zhan shouted while crying, "Ge, why are you so mean to me? I have grown up, I really wanted to go. I hate you." He ran towards his room and closed it from inside.

Li qin who was coming with afternoon tea and snacks for Yang and herself, saw Zhan leaving the home office while crying. She panicked and entered the office, "What happened to Zhan? I just saw him crying!"

Xiao Yang clenched his jaw, "Let him cry. He is becoming stubborn, he wanted to go on a trip to Sichuan with Jiyang and his husband. Just tell me what he will do there alone? They both are there to celebrate their anniversary. I don't know why they even invited him when it should be their private trip!"

She kept the tea tray on the table and sat on the sofa, "Husband, he is a child with dreams and desires, of course he would want to enjoy his life. He deserves some fun. And Jiyang is his best friend, so I don't think we should worry much."

"So? Should I let him ruin his life like other kids? You didn't see, how rudely he talked to me. He is losing all the respect for the elders." Yang said angrily.

"Tch, there's nothing like that. I will talk to him."

"I don't know and no need to talk to him. He deserves some punishment this time." He stood up angrily and hurried towards Zhan's room.

Li qin followed him, "Husband wait, please!"

Yang opened the door and saw Zhan crying while laying on the bed. Frowning, with a straight face he said, "You really do love crying and throwing tantrums right? You think of me as your enemy right?"

Zhan turned around, facing the wall. He covered himself with the blanket and didn't answer.

"Fine. I see, you really have no manners and I need to teach you some. You are not allowed to leave this room until I say. Your food will be provided here, but you are not allowed to talk to anyone." He shut the door and locked it.

Li qin tried to talk to Yang, "Open the door Yang, what are you doing?"

'I said what I said qin. I am going to the office, he successfully ruined my day and I am taking the keys with me." He put the keys in his pocket and left the mansion.
