Hatred and Resentment (Reyna&Sage)

Chapter 6: The Love

"I know what happened."

Reyna's words echoed around Sage's head. She didn't know what to do. Everything had happened so suddenly. Was that even the woman she thought it was? Was that the Reyna she knew?

Viper's treatment had worked. But at what cost?

She couldn't talk. she just stood there until the silence was broken by Reyna.

"I'm not mad. Just disappointed." She wasn't even looking at Sage's direction. Just gazing through the window. "I don't even know why I came here, leaving Viper all alone after all of the things she did for me."

Reyna took a deep breath, her eyes were almost shining through the moonlight, the dark purple of her pupils were enough to make a woman fall apart.

"Fear not." Her monotone voice kept Sage from feeling something, anything at all. "Hence this will be the last time you and I are alone together." Reyna had no emotion; neither in the inside, nor on the outside. "This shall be the last time you look into my eyes, as I do to yours." She finished her words, as she turned at Sage, looking deep into her eyes.

"Bid your farewell to the Reyna you used to know. You will get no second chance."

Sage couldn't move. It was as if something was holding her from doing so. Some power, exterior to her own. She was trying, physically trying to move, to rush at Reyna, to apologize over and over again; if only she could move-

"I said bid your farewell with your words, not your body."

After a while of pure silence, Sage gave in.

"I-I'm sorry..."

"Okay." Reyna replied, no emotion whatsoever. "Goodbye."

She made a soft gesture with her left hand as she walked, the 'power' holding Sage down forced her to move away from the door as Reyna approached it.

Sage was doing everything within her power to be released. Nothing worked. She screamed, apologized over and over again, told Reyna that she still loved her, that she couldn't think of an another way at the time, everything she wanted to say at the point of the occasion was now coming out.

"I didn't know Omen could've been put back together, I promise you, Reyna, please, please let me make it up to you, If I had known this would happen, I wouldn't have- I- I couldn't think, please, let me out, Reyna, get mad at me, shout at me, show me your rage, don't leave me like this Reyna, just say something, please, Reyna, REYNA SAY SOMETHING!"

Her cries got louder and louder as seconds passed. She wasn't even leaving space to breathe between words.

"I couldn't do anything, i was drained, Reyna please, I thought everything was over, I thought nothing I did would make this better, I couldn't even move until now, please Reyna, do something, punch me, kick me, hurt me- Kill me if you want to, just please, don't leave.."

Then she was released.

Reyna was long gone. Sage had missed it, the tears in her eyes had blinded her.

She rushed to the door in despair, opened it and crawled through the corridors as she cried, calling Reyna's name over and over again.

It didn't take long for someone to wake up.

Fade opened the door to her room, rushed towards Sage, shutting her mouth; "Sh. Don't wake anyone up, she's gone, Sage."

At first Sage tried shouting further, but gave in after a short while, "Just calm down." Fade tried reassuring her, "Take a deep breath."

As soon as she looked a little more comforted, Fade let go of her mouth, slowly.

At least she tried, only to be stopped by Sage herself; she held Fade's arm, placed her hand on her throat; "Kill me."
