Hatred and Resentment (Reyna&Sage)

Chapter 7: The End

"What if.. You don't regret it at all..?" Sabine answered as she tucked her hair behind her ear.

"We'll have to see." John smiled. Neither of them wanted to think any further. It would get worse if they did. Everybody made mistakes, why not them too?

It was the first time that the two were genuinely honest with one another. They just didn't care anymore.

"Let go of the HQ. Let go of others." John mumbled as he watched Viper's lips got closer.

"Let go of Valorant." Sabine finished his words.

The two stared into each other's eyes for a really long time.

"I've never wanted to kiss a man this much in my entire life before." Sabine's words hit John like lightning.

"I'm sorry." He replied.

"Don't be. It'll all be over soon." Sabine put her head on his chest, "I've been working my way around the souls ever since.." she sighed, "I might've found something."

"WHAT?!" He jumped, "Are you sure?"

He looked like a little boy.

"I'm not 100% certain, but if it worked on Reyna, then.."

Reyna.

"Shit." Viper stood up in instant. "Shit shit shit shit-"

"What's wrong-" Omen got serious, seeing Viper panic that badly. "You okay?"

"Yes-" Shit. "Yes I am, but.."

"It's Reyna isn't it?" His face, despite not having a human-life structure; it was obvious, the little boy dancing a couple seconds ago was completely gone.

Viper just nodded softly. "I'm sorry."

"Don't be." He replied, "Should I come?"

"No, I don't know what she's up to. I'll be right back as soon as I know that she's alive, okay?" Viper said as she rushed to the door. She shut it behind her without waiting for Omen's answer.

"Okay, Viper."

The man was too late.

Reyna was standing right outside Sage's door.

It was around 11 pm when she had gotten locked inside cypher's room. Surely by now it was past midnight. Sage should've been sleeping.

'I've had enough.'

Reyna thought of knocking, but didn't. She knew it was already unlocked. She had seen Skye and Fade go in and out couple of times.

She held the knob, and turned it.

The door slid right open.

Her breathing got heavier. From the camera, she couldn't really see it after all. The room was a mess. Her bedsheets were covered in blood. Also was the serum. A couple needles were left around the stand, garbage too. Glass pieces all across the floor. Countless pieces of toilet paper; half covered in blood, half just laying there. Blood had smeared all over her floor, there also were bloody footsteps towards her bathroom, from her bed. Reyna stood there for quite a while before she went in.

Sage didn't move an inch. She wasn't sleeping though.

Reyna shut the door behind her, and took a deep breath.
