That's Not Maddie

Lucas's POV:

I walk into class and up to Maddie "listen I'm sorry it just slipped out I promise I didn't mean to say that" I apologize but she just ignores me.

I look at her wrist only to see her vein a shadowy black I look at her neck to see another part black I just look at it with confusion on my it's like that.

I sit behind Maddie still looking at her as class starts a bit later she snaps her head around and looks me dead in the eyes "stop. staring. at. me." Maddie demands.

I gulp as I continue to look her in the eyes I noticed that they aren't their normal color I look at her wrist only to see the same thing then I look at her neck seeing the same shadowy black she turns around looking at her notebook.

I look at Will only to see he's looking back at me we both look back at Maddie before looking at Mr Clark.

Me and Dustin stop at Max's locker Maddie joining us I look at her eyes and they are back to dark icy ocean blue I look at her wrist and her veins are once again their normal color green same with her neck vein.

Dustin clears his throat getting Max's attention she looks at the three of us her eyes linger on Maddie for a second before she looks at me and Dustin.

"Hey Max" Dustin says "what's up stalkers" Max smirks "we aren't Stalk-" I get cut off by Maddie smacking my arm "just get to the point of I will" she mumbles to me.

"Right sorry..so we wanna know if you would wanna come trick or treating with us" I nervously say.

"Maybe" she smirks "we know we're to get the full size candy bars" Dustin tells her trying to act confident "that's presumptuous of you" she smiles looking at the three of us.

I look at Maddie as she knows what it means I just stay quiet thinking about what it means but Dustin doesn't stop and continues to talk "Dustin just stop let me talk" I hear Maddie say.

"Yeah let her talk" I agree he scoffs "fine floors all yours" he mumbles.

Maddie's POV:

"okay look if you want to come trick or treating with us come to Cul-de-sac at 7:00 on the dot if you don't you just don't" i say before walking away.

I know it came out rude but I just don't want to show my soft side to her so I think it's best if I continue my tough guy or in my case tough girl act.

Lucas's POV:

I look at Dustin as Max watches Maddie walk away Max walks away a couple seconds later "why is she acting like that" Dustin questions looking forward again.

I also look forward looking at Maddie walk away "because...that's not Maddie" I tell him I can tell he looked at me "what?" He says "that's not our Maddie...that's something else's Maddie..when we were in Mr Clark's class I was looking at her and she snapped her head back and told me to stop looking at her".

"But she was facing forward so how would she know you were looking at her?" He questions "that's what I'm trying to figure out..it's not the only thing I noticed though" I look at him as I walk away.

"What do you mean?" He follows me "well her eyes were cloudy black and that's not her normal eye color then I looked at her veins and it was also a cloudy black her wrist vein and her neck vein" I explain.

"Your right...that's Not Maddie...somethings not right" he responded i sigh and shake my head "do you think Mike noticed because Will definitely noticed" i asked "probably I mean that is his twin sister after all" Dustin tells me and I nod.
