A/n: So the chapters are going to be longer (about 1100-1500 words) but I won't update as frequently. maybe once every week or two weeks.

Arden ran as fast as her small legs could take her, dodging any stones, rocks, or people in her path. She could hear Ms. Callie, the director of Little Ladies Orphanage, chasing her while screaming for her to come back. Arden looked around and threw herself into a bin to avoid the lady who was catching up to her. Once she heard Ms. Callie's voice disappear and her footsteps get softer and softer, Arden stood up but she was too small to reach the lid of the bin and she was stuck. She stumbled into the side as she felt the bin moving, shaking in fear as she sat down waiting for the bin to stop moving. After five minutes of not hearing any more noise, Arden shoves herself against the side of the bin to push it over so she would be able to climb out.

All of a sudden she heard a loud sound and jumped back in fear and hit her back against a metal pole. She heard loud screaming and music but what caught her ear was this gentle, soothing, and loud voice coming from inside the building she was looking at. Arden saw a small hole in the fence and easily crawled through it to see almost a million people all around her. She looked up and saw a blonde woman singing and dancing with the same soothing voice she heard a minute ago. Arden sits there starstruck as she watches the woman perform for the next three hours. She observed the woman's voice, clothes, smile, gestures, fascinated by all the color and visual effects.

All Arden could think about was how much that woman looked like her mom who died. Her mom died when she was born but she had one picture of her as a baby with her mom. They both had blonde hair, were super tall, had a warm smile, but the woman's eyes were blue but her mother's were green. People started to get up and she saw the woman disappear into the curtains but she stayed put, shaking as the crowd almost trampled her. She decided to ask one of the security guards if she could talk to the lady who was on the stage so she made her way over to them. But as she was half way there, the guards were making their way through a big door on the side of the stage. Arden followed behind them, trying to catch up, but instead she got lost. She looked around and all she could see were endless hallways with empty rooms; her eyes watered as she screamed out for help.

"Help! I lost!" Arden cried.

Three tall men ran towards her and pulled her up by her small, fragile arms; Arden cried and wiggled, trying to get out, as the bruises on her arms burned. One of the men put her on his hip and gently tried to rock her back and forth but it made her more nervous.

Taylor had just finished performing and went into a room to change from her outfit and into something comfortable like a tank top and sweatpants. As she came out to talk to her parents, she heard soft cries coming from the other end of the hall. She carefully treated the other end and peeked around the corner to see three of her bodyguards huddled around someone. She thought they would handle it and was about to leave, but when she heard a sharp scream, she immediately ran over and pushed the guards aside. She looked down to see a small girl with her arm very visibly twisted the wrong way.

"What the fuck did you guys do to her!" Taylor screamed, looking at the small girl in front of her.

"She was like this when we found her ma'am. We were trying to pull her up but we overestimated her strength and we will get her to the hospital right now," they say, reaching out to the small girl.

Arden screamed and backed away in fear as her arm was throbbing, making Taylor's heart shatter.

"Get away from her. I'll take care of it," Taylor angrily said.

Who would do such a thing to such a small kid to make her hurt and traumatized; the fact that someone did made Taylor really angry. Taylor took a deep breath and squatted down to get closer to the girl's height before speaking to her.

"Hi, honey, I'm Taylor," she said, waving her hand.

"A-arden," the small girl responds.

"That's a beautiful name, darling. Did you watch the show?"

"I like the colors and the dresses," Arden responded.

"Would you like to see the dresses?"

Arden hesitantly nodded her head, curious about how the dresses looked up close and how they felt. Taylor held her arms out and patiently waited as Arden slowly crawled closer to her. She waited for the small girl to fully relax in her arms before picking her up. She was so tiny that Taylor could cradle the girl in her arms, rocking the girl back and forth, effectively putting the girl to sleep.

"Mom, can you come here?" Taylor said, trying not to wake up the small girl.

Andrea curiously turns the corner to see her daughter holding a small baby in her arms while crying. She immediately pulled her daughter into a hug, careful not to hurt the girl in her arms.

"What happened to her?" Andrea asked, looking at the girl's form.

"I don't know, I went over when I heard a scream and saw the security guards break her arm. I'm going to fire them but first I need to take her to the hospital," Taylor said, wiping her tears.

"Go and wrap her in a blanket, I will get the car started and we'll all be waiting in the car," Andrea said, grabbing the car keys from Taylor.

Taylor nods her head and walks into her dressing room to grab the blanket from her couch. She grabbed the blue fluffy blanket and wrapped it around the girl causing Arden to wake up and start to cry as she didn't know where she was. Taylor panicked but tried to remain composed as she placed the girl on her hip while walking to the car. She gave the girl a couple of her guitar picks to keep her entertained, Taylor didn't know how, but Arden was occupied by them and she was relieved. Taylor watched as the small girl dropped each guitar pick on the ground one by one, laughing as they each fell.

Taylor slid into the backseat to find her parents and brother in the car with a car seat attached to the middle seat. As Taylor tried to put Arden into the car seat, the girl gripped onto Taylor, throwing the rest of picks to the ground, this time in anger as she cried to be held again. The family decided to let Arden sit in Taylor's lap because it would be difficult for her to sit still with a broken arm without Taylor's comfort. Taylor picked up the guitar picks and offered them to Arden but the small girl was done with them and pushed them away.

Arden started to bite on Taylor's finger half way through the thirty minute drive while becoming visibly cranky. Taylor's eyes widened as she felt Arden move, realizing the girl was wearing a diaper and it felt really full. Taylor picked up the girl instead of making her sit on her lap trying to make her more comfortable.

"Dad, can you stop at the store, we need to get some diapers," Taylor asked.

A couple minutes later they made it to the store and Scott and Austin waited in the car while Taylor and Andrea took Arden to get changed. Taylor tried to keep Arden calm while Andrea rushed to find diapers for the girl. After buying a pack, Andrea took one out and handed it to Taylor. Taylor went into the changing room while Andrea waited outside for them. After a couple minutes, Taylor came out with Arden sobbing in her arms, unable to calm herself down.

"I can't calm her down, mom," Taylor said, her voice panicked.

"Give her to me," Andrea said, holding her hands out.

Taylor handed over the girl to her mother who didn't put up any fight and cuddled into Andrea and sobbed. Andrea bounced the girl and patted her back just like Taylor tried, but Arden slowly stopped crying and fell asleep on Andrea.

"I did the same thing!" Taylor exclaimed.

"I had two kids, I have the mom touch," Andrea joked.

Not wanting to take the risk of waking the girl up again, Andrea held her the rest of the ten minutes to the hospital. As they all got out the car, Arden woke up and squirmed around in Andrea's arms. As soon as she spotted Taylor, she attempted to jump out Andrea's arms, reaching out to Taylor. Luckily Taylor caught her and held the small girl on her hip as the family walked through the doors.
