It had been almost a month that Taylor figured out there was no possible was to get the girl back and she was slowly starting to accept it. Through guidance and reassurance from her family, her boyfriend, her friends, her publicist, and her therapist, she is now able to function and get up from bed. If Arden hadn't been put back in the system it had to mean she was having a better life and she was doing okay now. Taylor started going back on her tour regularly and is coping much better through all the support she's receiving.
Taylor was putting on her first body suit and getting ready to go out in about an hour, everything was rushed as they still had to do hair and make up after. Taylor put on her robe and sat down so the professionals can work on hair and make up. She sat there talking to the other crew members about steps to remember for the new album, The Tortured Poets Department, choreography and revising last minute cues. All the crew had now gone on stage which gave her a three or four minute period before she had to be on stage.
"Mom, do you ever think of Arden?" Taylor asked, stepping into her high heels.
Andrea's eyes widened at the sudden question and she looked up to she Taylor trembling a little as she took a deep breath. "Honey, let's talk after. Remember that she is doing well, she is fine, she is happy. And that's what we want. Now go on stage, you're gonna crush it, I'll be out in the VIP tent with dad, Travis, and your friends."
Taylor nods, reminding herself about what her therapist told her, as she stood on the platform, ready to go on stage. As soon as she saw the wing-like-things uncover, she put on her "singer" face, as she liked to call it, and gripped her mic tighter. As she sang, everything felt somewhat normal again, she felt a piece of her come back. Not being on tour for almost two months made her miss this aspect of her life, connecting with her fans and having fun with them. For almost two hours, she was completely immersed into the performance, she felt so great.
Taylor took a deep breath and looked around before she had to dive into the stage before the Midnights costume change. As she looked straight ahead, she noticed a girl from the middle section. The girl looked to be in her mid twenties and she was with some guy, probably her husband. She was wearing a designer necklace, which belonged to Taylor.
"Taylor! Jump! Hurry!"
Taylor shook her head and quickly dived into the stage, and while thinking about the girl, she hit part of her body against the opening as she fell. She rolled to the side and clutched the right side of her body tightly. A couple guards came rushing and helped her into the outfit changing area. As she undressed and her women helped her into her outfit and touched up her make up, all she could think about was the stolen necklace.
"Hey, can you look out for a woman and man in the middle section." Taylor gave the security guard a short description of each of them as she got into her outfit. After the guard gave her a nod and headed out to guard the stage again, Taylor heard one of the women tell the others to hurry up.
"Hurry up what?" Taylor asked.
"Just look at your leg," she said, already working on covering it with make up.
Taylor looked down to see a large cut with some parts even split a little open, which was most likely from the fall when diving in the stage. With all the adrenaline coursing through her veins, Taylor didn't feel much pain, but from experience, she knew it would hurt like a bitch later on after the show and her night with Travis. She popped two Advil pills into her mouth before heading back up to finish her concert. She tried her best not to think about the cut or the girl as she finished performing. It would be so embarrassing if she messed up or broke down on stage and she would never be left alone for that.
As soon as she finished, she rushed back stage and she already saw paramedics there with a worried looking mother and boyfriend. Her dad came back with some medical supplies as well as some of her friends.
"Guys, I'm fine," Taylor mumbled, walking to a changing room.
As she pulled Travis in, she shook his head on, which confused her, he always loved their after show shenanigans. He took a step back and kissed her sweaty forehead before moving some of the strands of hair away from her face.
"Go change and let them fix your leg, that's more important."
She sigh but she knew he was right, her leg was already starting to hurt, and it would get worse if she didn't get it checked out. She changed into one of Travis' hoodies she stole on their last date and some shorts to make it easier for her leg to be checked. She walked out and sat beside her mother on the couch and lifted her leg up onto the recliner.
"Can we do this quick, I wanna get out of here," Taylor mumbled.
"This needs stiches, we need to get her to a hospital, now." the doctor there said, using a makeshift bandage to hold the cut together to try stop the damage from furthering.
"It's fine, it doesn't even hurt!"
Despite her tired protests, Travis carries her to the car, from a different exit to not cause more attention than the speculations, and held her as Scott drove the family to the hospital behind the doctor's transportation vehicle.
