"I'M NOT GOING BACK TO THAT!!!"

Azul screamed. His reserves were low. All of the mages there were throwing as much magic as possible towards the octopus, but it seemed fruitless. He just kept sucking the life and magic out of anyone he could find. However, it was clear he was running low on energy.

His blot counts were off the charts, possibly due to the ink he already had. He was yelling and screaming.

"YOU'VE BURNED ALL I'VE WORKED FOR!!"

Azul was going to cast another spell, one which certainly looked powerful. However, just as it was going to fire, Azul let out a shriek and wobbled. Jade took this opportunity to send a powerful blast of flora magic his way, but not before something came out of Azul 's chest.

"Huh?" Jade paused.

Livius, who had caused most of this hassle, contorted his face in anger. Ruggie was confused.

Ace, Deuce, Jack, Grim, and Yuu all stood in shock.
Yuu and Grim had been able to convince Livius to help them out by making a ruckus outside of his room that night. Ruggie had hesitantly come along since he usually tailed Livius, but not as much as he did Leona. Livius was more hostile towards him. He didn't like him for some reason.

Aside from that, the point was something was sticking out of Azul's chest when it shouldn't be.

Blue filled the water, obscuring the area.

"Myah!? What is this?!" Grim yelled.

"Ewwww..." Floyd squeaked.

"What IS this?" Ace asked again.

Jade grew agitated.

"...Octopus blood..." he said, covering his mouth.

Everyone was a mixture of disgusted and terrified. There was just so much of it flowing throughout the watery dorm. Students fled to the miror chamber, but Jade, Floyd, Ruggie, Yuu, Ace, Deuce, Jack, and Grim were all frozen in place. Livius had left as soon as he saw it. Jack and Ruggie glared at the back of their "housewarden."

"COWARD!!" Ruggie yelled.

Livius walked off in his common standoffish fashion. Jade and Floyd reverted to their merforms, and swam into the blue cloud.

"Azul!" they yelled.

His face was difficult to see, but it was clear he was seething in pain. Floyd looked around.

"It's the big ol' phantom trident thing!!" he said.

Jade looked up at the half dissolved phantom. Soon, the trident it wielded would dissolve as well.

They had to get Azul to a hospital soon, before he-

"...Jade...Floyd..."

Jade's eyes widened.

"Azul?" he said.

When he looked over, there was nothing more. The phantom finished dissolving, and Azul's body sank to the bottom of the dorm, bleeding out.

"Azul!!

Yuu's vision was clouded in bright blue. It stung their eyes. Ruggie grabbed their arm.

"Come ON, Yuu! We're going to go get Crowley!! Or Trein or Crewel or Vargas or Sam or-whoever, whatever, just get a move on!!" Ruggie yelled.
