Mia

"Rose, is it good to see you, and who is this."

In the hospital bed lies a woman who looks to be our same age. She is a white girl with very dark hair and way more facial piercings and tattoos than the both of us times ten.

"This is Mia, Thomas's ol' lady." Rose's face holds a tiny smirk.

I watch as the lady in the hospital bed eyes go wide. "Thomas?" She asks, her voice going an octave deeper. "I didn't even think that was possible. I haven't even seen him hold a woman's hand before." Her bright blue eyes glaze over as she looks me up and down. "Well shit I don't blame him. You are cute Mia."

My heart starts to beat faster and I internally blush. That was very nice of her.

"Thank you." I let out a small giggle along with Rose's laughing. I'm not going to lie, I'm a little flustered. The lady is gorgeous.

"Where is she? I need to see my little niece." Rose cuts in excitedly smiling from ear to ear.

"Well it just fuck me then. She's right here. You can pick her up if you want to. She just got up from her nap."

I take a seat on the couch at the side of her bed. Rose goes and gently picks up the baby girl and comes to sit next to me. We both gawk at the sweet little baby swaddled in her hospital blanket.

"What did you name her?" I ask, cheesing at the site of the precious baby girl.

"Me and Billy decided to name her Sofia after his grandmother."

The name Sofia fits the little baby perfectly. Her light brown eyes and soft reddish hair matches her name to the t.

"Stella..." Rose drags out. "What did giving birth feel like?"

Stella's face screws up and she shakes her head. "So painful you don't even remember the pain afterwards, if that makes sense." Stella tries to explain.

I couldn't even imagine something stretching me and clawing me in half the way I have seen it happen in those birthing videos I had watched one time when I had gotten bored. The shit looked terrifying.

"Would you like to hold her? I have something I want to show Stella real quick." Rose asks, getting ready to hand me the one day old infant.

I look at Stella silently asking if that would be okay. "Mia, take the baby so Rose can show me the tattoo she wants," Stella smiles, giving me her consent.

Rose hands me the baby with care. I can't remember the last time I've held a baby this young. Baby Sofia is so tiny, that when I give her my pinky finger her little baby hand can barely wrap around it.

All background noise fades and it's just me and her. Having kids has crossed my mind, of course after being married and financially stable, but now there is something about being responsible for something that depends on you to keep it alive that just doesn't sit right with me. I mean shit, I can't even keep a plant alive, so what in the hell would I do with a kid.

Maybe sometime in the future when I find the right man, but still I don't know.

"Mia." Stella's voice rings out breaking me from my trance. I don't know how long I've been distracted when I look up from a now sleeping Sofia and see that the overall energy of the room has changed. "This is my brother Dollar." Stella's voice is slightly uneasy even though she is speaking confidently.

I guess I was in my head so much I didn't even realize a whole new person had entered the room. We have been sitting here for a while Rose showing Stella new tattoos she wants her to do on her, me all into my phone and holding newborn Sofia.

Rose gives Stella a look, but Stella isn't paying her any attention, her eyes trained on the tall gentleman standing at the door of her hospital room.

Stella and her brother have the exact same face; he is just more masculine, their hair colors also differ looking at the little hair left that he hasn't buzzed off; he's a dusky blonde. The man's skin just like his sisters are littered in tattoos from the neck down. What is it with these people and tattoos?

Dollar has the smile of a Cheshire Cat. "It's nice to meet you Mia, it's good to put a face to the name." Dollar's voice is intensely deep.

"You've heard of me?" I question, not feeling comfortable with his creepy ass entrance.

"Of course I have." He just leaves it at that and walks farther into the room taking a seat in front of his sister's bed. The fuck is supposed to mean?

Dollar makes me feel uneasy. I detect that something is very wrong with this man. Stella doesn't seem very fazed by his presence, just surprised. Rose on the other hand looks like she is about to shit herself.

Rose stands from her seat on the bed beside Stella. "We should be getting ba-"

"-Mia." Thomas's voice rings through the room.

My head snaps to the door of the hospital room where his voice came from. Rose didn't say anything about him coming here. Yet there he stands his head higher than the doorway. Thomas looks handsome, he has on a black and blue flannel under his cut, with a pair of jeans. Thomas's cut has a small patch on the front with the phrase that says 'no mercy' below his president patch. On the back of his cut is a big skull and crossbones with the word outlaws written in large letters on the back all in black and red.

I'm too surprised to speak. I didn't know he would be coming here.

Thomas's face has a sinister look onto it, the three scratches I had left on his cheek are a pinkish color. I do feel bad about that, but not much. He threatened my uncle for the third time, I'd had enough.

Right now he looks just as creepy as Stella's brother, standing stark and steel like a shadow over the room, he's not even slouching or leaning. I don't think I've ever seen Thomas slouch.

My eyebrows come together and my forehead wrinkles lightly in confusion. "Reaper." Dollar nods at Thomas who's eyes have yet to leave mine. I guess that's his nickname or something. I've heard him be called that once or twice at the clubhouse.

"Dollar." Thomas replies just as dry as Dollar's Reaper comment. Thomas turns to Stella and Rose who are just as wrapped up in Thomas's unexpected appearance as I am.

"Congratulations." Thomas says as he makes his way up to Stella. He lays a kiss onto her forehead. I feel a twinge of jealousy spike up in my belly, making me twist a little in my seat. The fuck is he kissing her for.

Sofia must have felt my discomfort because she starts to get a little fussy, I rock her softly back and forth.

"I'm good, cousin, just enjoying Mia and Rose being here to give me some company." Stella exclaimed a small smile on her face. Cousin. My jealousy evaporates and I am left feeling stupid again. These people never tell me anything.

"I'm happy to hear that, but we have to go." Thomas declares before he looks at me. We have been here for a while, but Thomas is rude for just showing up and leaving so quickly. "And Demi wants Rose back at the clubhouse."

"I-" I go to say something.

"Yeah I gotta go help out with a rush coming up and all.... I'll text you later. I love you Stella." Rose sighed giving Stella's hand a squeeze before damn near running out of the hotel room.

I stand and settle Sophia back into her crib. Her eyes open as soon as she doesn't feel my warmth, but she doesn't cry.

"Thank you for coming, Mia. It was really nice to meet you." Stella's face still holds a sweet smile.

"It was nice to meet you and Sofia too Stella." I give her a gentle hug from the opposite side of the bed that Thomas is on.
