Thomas
Who in the hell did she think she was talking to? I storm into our room to see Mia in bed watching whatever stupid chick flick on the tv that is mounted to the wall.
When she spots me her eyes go wide, smoke streaming out of her nose and mouth.
"Come back downstairs." I bark out an order at her giving her one last chance.
"No." She replies back before turning back to the tv giving me back the same energy I had given to her earlier.
That shit infuriates me. I unplug the tv before making my way to her. She's looking up at me, her big brown eyes staring into me. She's trying to look intimidating. It takes all of me not to laugh in her face. Mia isn't the least bit intimidating. She's soft as hell, I can see through all her bullshit. I lean down so that we are face to face and scowl at her.
"Fix your face." I command.
Weak ass evil eye.
Mia's face doesn't change.
"Fuck you, Thomas. You don't get to keep bossing me aro-."
At least I tried.
Before I know it, my hand wraps around her neck. I'm in control enough to not choke her, but keep a little pressure to keep her quiet.
I get into her face, almost touching my lips to hers. I speak calmly, "You feel safe to talk to me like that?" I questioned.
She stares at me blankly.
Her bravery is a turn on, but I'm not going to let her know that. "You're here because you owe me. You do what I say, when I say it, how I want it. If you can't do that I will make you wish Trever had done his job that night." I mean every word.
Her eyes fill with tears that she is too stubborn to let fall. She has a sour look on her face like she can't believe the situation that she is in. After a long pause with us staring at each other I let her neck go.
"Have your ass downstairs in thirty minutes." I bellow while making my way out of the room. Finally, I feel like I am getting my point across not only for her, but me too. I've been easier than I should be on her. It's starting to feel like the lines between us are getting blurred and I am starting to get soft on her.
It's hard not too, she has this pull to her that makes it seem like she's always flirting. Her voice, the way she's not afraid to look me in the eyes. I just know deep down she knows she's mine.
Getting into her phone was easy. I've seen her put in the same password thirty times already just today. First thing I did was look for Nigel's information. He even had the nerve to dm her.
I read his message over again. "It was nice to see you today. If you ever want to meet up for drinks I'll be in town for the next two weeks." Shaking my head I delete it, then send his information to Tech. I'm still trying to decide whether or not I want him dead.
My thoughts are interrupted by the sound of the kitchen floor boards creaking. Mia is upstairs so I know it isn't her. She would have to pass through the living room where I'm at to get in there. One hand on my gun I take a guess at who it is. I chuckle, "Trever."
Silence then the sound of Trever cursing. "Fuck, I will get you one day." Trever comes out of the shadows in the corner of my kitchen. He and Tim like to play this game they made up to try and catch me off guard.
"No you won't. What do you want?" I let out a frustrated sigh.
"She's really doing a number on you huh? Now you know how I feel." Trever gloates. He and Tim have been jumping down my throat for years about Rose. Every time they bitch about her I make sure to stay out of their mess, I don't even give them advice, they will just twist it into some sick shit and blame it on me when it doesn't go their way.
