- - - - - After the first fateful encounter, everyone agreed to stay true to their words, and the plan was unfolding. - - - - -

- - - - - Adrian had agreed to get Dimentio a groom before Sapphire, Luigi still agreed to marry Dimentio after Adrian had healed everyone in his home kingdom, and Dimentio... was reluctant, but still agreed to let Sapphire leave if Luigi actually followed through. - - - - -

- - - - - Dimentio was convinced that Luigi would back down any day now, either out of fear or simply not wanting to go through with a commitment like this, but it was hard to dispute the fact that the man in green was staying... - - - - -

- - - - - A few weeks passed, and still, Luigi didn't seem to want to go anywhere else until he did what he promised. - - - - -

- - - - - Luigi wanted to at least try and pull Dimentio out of his shell before they were both trapped in this arrangement for better or for worse, but the monster didn't want to become attached, leaving the man in green ostracized. - - - - -

- - - - - Adrian even tried to convince Dimentio to give Luigi a chance, but the most "bonding" the two ever seemed to get was when they would just happen to be in the same room together. - - - - -

- - - - - While arranged marriage was supposed to be something of strangers marrying strangers, there didn't seem to be much effort put in for either of them to become less so. - - - - -

- - - - - Dimentio didn't want to take any chances by letting his guard down, and Luigi was too scared to get close with Dimentio being so defensive. It was an impasse. - - - - -

- - - - - By the end of the month, the arrangements were in place, and there was to be a wedding. - - - - -

- - - - - It was tradition for couples in this faction of the once-grand Tribe of Ancients to be wed where all could see, even if they didn't want to be... - - - - -

- - - - - The intention was for the public to be able to wish good fortune to the new pair and even give gifts, but a few were worried that a public wedding might not be well received in this case. - - - - -

- - - - - Regardless, Adrian desperately wanted for his son to have a "real" wedding, so Jewel begrudgingly agreed for the sake of her daughter's future. - - - - -

- - - - - Adrian was able to arrange the date, time, and place, finalizing and making the engagement official. - - - - -

- - - - - The poor man in green finally felt the weight of this bearing down on him, and he no longer felt ready for his new reality. - - - - -

- - - - - Luigi couldn't help but worry about what people would do to him because of all of this, let alone his brother finding out who he was given away to. - - - - -
