Inside The Dark Hole

Yunxi was sinking into a pool of the darkest ink she had ever seen. It was a feeling of being submerged into an ocean, and flung around as if one entered a murderous current.

        Instinctively, Yunxi closed her eyes and relaxed her mind, since she couldn't see a thing. She allowed the current to take its course.

      They were all practically ejected out of the dark hole. Ninety - Nine percent of the students fell face flat after the ejection, while the remaining one percent landed on their feet. Obviously, Yunxi was very much part of the one percent.

     Why the one percent could? Because their parents had trained them before they could awaken their talents.

   Yunxi looked around, and what came into view after leaving the dark hole was….. magnificent!

   It was a large expanse of land with various tall , branchy, vibrant trees here and there. And of course, beautiful flowers adorned the landscape, adding touches of different colors to the greenery.

    " Bleargh!!!. . . . . "

   " Gruuuu!!!...."

   " Umghh!!!. . . . .  "

   Yunxi's moment of admiring the scenery stopped. She turned around to find most of the students. . . Vomiting!!!

   They were throwing up their breakfast and acidic juice in their stomachs. The view was utterly disgusting, and the fresh natural air was diffused with the stench.

   " They are going to the underworld, and still dared to eat a heavy breakfast! They actually think this is a park."  Yunxi muttered under her breath, as she walked a distance away from the other students.

    She looked into the distance. Behind the trees was a thick fog. She couldn't see what's beyond the trees.

   " Survive? Ha! That old hag did something right for the first time. " Yunxi brought out her hands from her pocket and stared at the ring on her right middle finger.

     " Umm. . . Excuse me ? "

   Yunxi kept her hands back in her pockets, and turned around to see a girl nervously looking back at her.

    She was wearing a plain black long sleeved gown and had long blonde hair in a ponytail. She had really deep blue eyes, and her ears had small blue studs. She was very pretty.

    " Umm. . . . . We are forming teams to watch each other's backs. Would you like to join?" She said with a little smile, although it was forced, she tried to make it feel natural.

   Yunxi raised an eyebrow, her obsidian eyes glinted slightly.

   ' Huh ? The pretty orphan, Nalan ? What a surprise! The stepsister of… .'  Yunxi was pulled out of her thoughts, when she heard a nasty remark.

    " No way!! She is talentless!" 

   " She is going to be nothing but a burden to us. "

     Yunxi lifted her head up to see the students in Nalan's  team , angry. . .? Well, she couldn't decipher their exact expressions, but it wasn't pleasant. And the other students were smiling mockingly at her.

    She turned her attention back to the girl, and said,

     " I will pass. " 

   Nalan was hesitating. Clearly, she was having a hard time choosing whether to convince Yunxi or listen to what her teammates were saying.

   " I am a burden. If you come with me , you will have enemies behind you. " With that Yunxi turned around and walked away.

   Nalan  stretched out her hand to stop her , but Yunxi had already walked off. She sighed, turned around, and left with her team.
